As Biden’s approval ratings continue to drop
Down ballot Blues avoid him from their campaign stops
In Ohio to tout the progress being made under the American Rescue Plan
Blue candidates for Senate and the Ohio Governorship were absent from the speakers stand
Being seen with Biden is by most astute politicians as welcome as coming down with the flu
Infecting their reelection chances and assuring that their days remaining in office are through
But Blue Rep Marcy Kaptur was there to welcome Biden when Air Force One descended to land
Received a warm Biden hug and a kiss on her outstretched hand
Kaptur is the longest serving woman in the House, first elected in 1983
A landslide winner in a Blue district but will the Red Wave mean she has reached her apogee
Many Blues fearing the Red Wave when Biden comes calling move Heaven and Earth
To create scheduling conflicts so they are not anywhere near Biden’s speaking berth
Maybe she feels after voting with his bills one hundred percent of the time
Not welcoming him would be perceived as a disloyal abandonment crime
Hope her opponent is able to her Biden link
To Biden’s kissing her hand her reelection chances sink
