With Yelp reviews able to drive customers to or far away
Fear of a bad review for lousy food or service is a fear to stay
Boycotts so induced can bring a business to its knees
Ignore customers’ outrage and sure as the Sun rises they will flee
But another form of boycott is rearing its evil head
Has nothing to do with service or quality but perceived views of the owners
instead
Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby because of their owners’ Christian beliefs
Have become the latest targets of the left hell bent on causing them boycott grief
But boycotts over political belief in a divided nation is a two edged sword
Bringing politics to the food table and you have a chance of being gored
Ice cream maker Ben and Jerry’s
Convinced Israel wants to all Palestinians bury
Is banning the sale of its ice cream into
Israel to punish it for deemed Palestinian oppression
Oblivious to the flood of Hamas rockets into Israel that merited responsive
repression
Texas unsheathed its two edged boycott sword
A likely ban on Ben and Jerry’s in Texas will be its reward
Boycotting the sale of products to protest the owner’s beliefs is just plain wrong
It a capitalist free market it does not belong
