NASA’s most powerful rocket Artemis in another
attempt to be launched had its second snag
Another hydrogen leak which may be calling into question the rocket’s $93
billion price tag
We Earth bound taxpayers look in awe at this giant rocket
That will lighten by billions the dollars now in our pockets
If it even gets off the ground it will unmanned to orbit the Moon then head
further thousands of miles into space
All as part of returning to the Moon with humans to more extensively explore
and establish a lunar human occupied base
With Mars also in NASA’s sights we await another launch attempt with fingers
crossed
Many of us remember watching TV on December 6, 1957 after Sputnik I and Sputnik
II were in orbit our Vanguard Rocket rose a few feet into the night air and
exploded in a total loss
Space exploration for humans will be full of danger with very high costs
But hopefully with NASA no longer a monopoly with players like SpaceX the race
with the Chinese will not be lost
Space in military terms is the ultimate high ground
We cannot rely only on treaties to abandon the Moon and Mars would be most
unsound
