All politicians seem guilty at times of seeing themselves as
members of the ruling elite
Who have to try so very hard to be like normal mere mortals when voters they
are forced to meet
But more and more they spend time bending to the whims of lobbyist cash
Whatever ideals of good for the public when first elected long since into the
trash
Money is the mothers’ milk of politics and hypocrisy is the king of the court
Where do as I say and ignore what I do rules and integrity and honesty more and
more come up short
Sheldon Whitehouse from Rhode Island, a very liberal Blue
Has now been caught feasting on a large bowl of hypocrisy stew
A 24/7 rabid champion for social justice for those with colored skin
Enjoying summers at his private beach club where people of color have rarely
been
He voices opposition to Bailey’s Beach Club’s racial exclusionary policies but pays his dues
A man of integrity demanding racial justice would resign but not this
hypocritical Blue
People have the right to associate only with those whom they choose
If the decision is based on color, the benefits of diversity they intone for
us, they lose
If Whitehouse had a spine or integrity he would admit he would not accept members
with colored skin
Or better yet find some principles he intones for us and resign from the club to match his
social justice spin
