The Iditarod The Last Great Race March 16, 2023 12:10:46, 10 Days. 21 Hours and 17 Minutes After Start of Racing

 

Iditarod standings as of March 16, 2023:12:10:46, 10 days 21 hours and 17 minutes of racing: The 20^th musher to enter Nome, Deke Naaktgeboren, is last musher to participate in the Prize Purse with the remaining 9 mushers 2 of whom  are the Berington Twins in 21^st and 22^nd have left the last checkpoint Safety only 22 miles away from Nome, on the course if they finish will receive the sum of $1,049 for the privilege of finishing and freezing in the process. In the much watched race for the Red Lantern, 28^th place rookie Jed Stephensen has a 39 minute lead over 29^th place Jason Mackey with both in Elim, 122 miles away, enjoying a balmy 4º, looking forward to another full or near full day on the course.
