The Chinese “weather balloon” like in earlier times the U-2 “weather
plane”
Have both been shot down--the balloon streaming gas, the U-2 in flames
The Chinese like a rug it’s a “weather balloon” lied
Like in 1960 Ike aped in order to save a summit he tried
At least weather planes can alter their path but weather balloons are slaves to
the winds
The Chinese “weather balloon” moved from ICBM silos to silos miles apart and its
claim did not rescind
Unauthorized entry into a nation’s airspace is an act of war
Shooting the intruder down as across the skies it soars
Is the response that’s predictable and right
That’s why Soviet bombers near Alaska but after seeing the scramble reverse their
flight
Biden trying to appear strong and resolute
Touted he wanted the military to at the balloon shoot
But the Pentagon worried about civilian casualties in the West wide open space
talked him out of it
Watching the spy balloon on its photographic tour of missile did not with us
well fit
Finally when 6 miles off shore a F-22 Raptor shot it down
Over 47 feet of water and a payload crash that will spread debris 7 miles wide
With salt water already starting to the pieces corrode
With a navy salvage ship 2 days away to divers unload
That our military shot it down we cheer
That they used a sidewinder we jeer
Using it cannon it would been able to create lots of holes
Losing lift it would have slowly drifting down which should have been a goal
No terminal velocity crash of the payload so no civilians
would die
In one or several large pieces our discovery of its secrets could not be denied
