Goulet Botched Words In Our National Anthem But Kept Rhymes, Judy Black Inserted "on" in O'Canada For Praise

When it comes to National Anthems ours save the last lines is not easy to sing
As Robert Goulet found when before Clay’s 2nd fight with Liston, he was tasked with his voice a rendition bring
Having performed “O Canada” many times
He gaffed ours on lyrics but keeping the rhymes
“dawn’s early light” became ”dawn’s early night”
And “Gave proof during the night” became “gave proof during the fight”
Robert Goulet was born here
But spent in Canada his formative years
Viewed by many as Canadian to his core
No matter how hard he knocked could not open the Canadian citizenship door
For his miscues he was not praised only booed
But his career as a singer was in no way through
Since there is a Canadian team in the NBA
At the All Star Game “O’Canada” was sung before they started play
Judy Black, a noted Canadian singer, was asked to put her talent on display
And so she did with an ad lib one word revision raise
“O’Canada our home and native land” became “O’Canada our home on  native land” praise
Native North American Indians on the borders’ both sides
Had to forfeit large portions of their lands to a growing European immigration tide
Maybe Canada should its national anthem to merely recognize a historical fact
That in no way shape or form should imply reparations or the land must be given back.
