February 18, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

The news out of Georgia was not good but perhaps expected, as former president Jimmy Carter at age 98 announced he would be spending his last days in hospice care at home with his family and regardless of party affiliation Americans should pray he remains conscious and alert as he spends his last days with Rosalyn and family. Voters in Pennsylvania ignored Red claims that Fetterman as a result of his stroke was not fit to serve as their senator and now face the reality of his checking himself in for depression to face several weeks of treatment. Americans, Red and Blue, should pray for his recovery. From an increasing surge of hate crimes and antisemitism to a rise of physical and social media bullying which should castigate parents being MAI in their duties of how to raise children, we seem to under a siege of growing violence. On the sports front the Stanford Women beat USC 5—47 and the Stanford Men who consistently over the years have played second and third fiddle to the women, hopefully buoyed by their recent upset of Arizona and a close loss to UCLA play the Trojans tonight. Ridley’s Believe It Or Not February 18, 2023
          Noted Holidays: World Whale Day:
Created by Greg Kaufman, founder of the Pacific Whale Foundation in 1980 and celebrated on the 3rd Saturday in February to promote awareness of the issues faced by these huge mammals which are highlighted today by a surge of whales who end up dying after being beached in causes not yet known but suspected in the recent cases of whales being beached near an area considered for a wind farm of underwater explosions damaging the sonar whales use to navigate.
Word of the Day:  The word of the day is “agrize” which means to fear or shudder in fear of something frightful which should describe our reaction to our $31.455 trillion national debt which is almost 5 times our GNP.
          Number 1 Song:
The number 1 song on this day in 1955 was “Sincerely” by  The McGuire Sisters on a run of 6 weeks to share with 10 other songs that achieved number one status. Here are The McGuire Sisters performing  “Sincerely”:
