Only one fatality a crew member who was an engineer. Given the shallow depth of the wreck the ship is a very popular diving site.

The lockout ended on July 13, 2005 to end the lockout and enter an 8 year collective bargaining agreement on July 22, 2005. Many of the NHL players migrated to Europe to continue playing during the lockout which marked the first time in major professional sports an entire season has been cancelled due to a labor dispute.
