February 14, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

The Eagle fans in Philadelphia were upset and outraged over the holding call that kept the Chief’s drive alive instead of kicking a field goal with less than 2 minutes left and force them to want the Chiefs to quickly score which they almost did but the runner skidded to a stop on the 2 yard line where the Chiefs burned their last time out then went into kneeling mode to kick the winning field goal with 8 seconds left. The Eagle guilty admitted he was holding but the fans are still left with a “Wait until next year pit in their stomach.” On this Valentine’s Day I hope your Valentine is overjoyed with your gift and your romantic dinner date is worthy of the romantic sonnets Hall of Fame.  If not and a new vehicle might bring you back in your Valentine’s good graces some advice:  my friend Charlie Sena, the Founder of CARtegrity helps buyers purchase or lease (primarily) high end or hard to find vehicles, at favorable market pricing, helping the consumer save considerable time and money. Feel free to give Charlie a call at 949-873-3744 for a complimentary consultation. Hope also you find Ridley's Believe It Or Not worth your time reading and if not please respond with an “Unsubscribe” in the message.
Ridley’s Believe It Or Not February 14, 2023
Noted Holidays: National Have A Heart Day Two different celebrations on this day and neither of which celebrate the giving and receipt of Valentine’s Day cards often festooned with hearts but in Canada, it’s an annual event organized by the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada to protest against the discrimination and marginalization faced by the Indigenous people of Canada and the other the creator of which I am clueless although it may be the University of Pennsylvania Health Services to promote a heart healthy diet which along with cardiovascular exercise goes a long way to reduce the 1 American every 35 seconds who dies from heart disease.
Word of the Day:  The word of the day is “agnail” which describes on the foot a sore, corn or ingrown nail, any of which are real walking or running painful mobility killers.
Number 1 Song: The number 1 song on this day in 1959 was “Stagger Lee” by Lloyd Price on a run of 2 weeks to share with 15 other songs that achieved number one status while 9 acts, including Lloyd Price,  achieved their first Billboard 100 number one status. Here is Lloyd Price performing “Stagger Lee”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCPutYaGFlE   Lloyd was one of the early founders of rock and roll, had his own record company, retained his copyrights, and acted as his own agent. He died of complications of diabetes on May 3, 2021 at the age 88.
February 14 Famous Birthdays:  Hazel McCallion, noted former women’s ice hockey player, executive of Kellogg Canada, Inc for 25 years and mayor of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada’s 7th most populous city, for 12 terms, 2 by acclamation and 10 by reelection was born on this day in 1921. She served as mayor for 36 years and never campaigned for reelection and never accepted campaign donations instead telling donors to send them to charities. She passed at on January 29th of his year at age 101 and her state funeral is being held on what would have been her 102nd birthday.

          2.     1989—Union Carbide agreed to pay the Indian government $470 million for the 1984 Bhopal disaster.
          3.     2003—UNMOVIC’s Executive Chairman Hans Blix reported to the UN Security Council that disarmament inspectors had found no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, which report the Bush Administration chose to ignore and with its diminished number of coalition members invaded Iraq on March 20, 2003 in search of nonexistent WMD’s.
          4.      2005—YouTube was launched by 3 college students to engage in viral clips sharing business, raised 20 million in venture capital and was acquired by Google in October 2006 for $1.65 billion in Google stock and the race was on to when the smoke cleared YouTube had become the largest video sharing website in the world and the primary source of viral videos.

           5.      2018—In Parkland, Florida, at Marjory, Stoneman, Douglas High School, 19 year old former student Nicholas Cruz allegedly entered the school and shot and killed 17 persons and wounded 17.            Famous Quotes on Notable Events Or Persons:  George W. Bush, Third State of the Union Speech: “Year after year, Saddam Hussein has gone to elaborate lengths, spent enormous sums, taken great risks to build and keep weapons of mass destruction.”
Saddam Hussein, Interview with Dan Rather, 60 Minutes, February 2003: “We do not pursuit any weapons of mass destruction.”
Benjamin Crème, Questions and Answers, Share International (May 2003)“It was obvious from the beginning that the Bush administration was determined to get rid of Saddam Hussein with or without UN sanction.
