February 23, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the eve of the anniversary of the invasion by Russia of Ukraine 141 nations voted in favor of a UN Resolution calling for an end to hostilities and demanding Russian withdrawal of its forces, 32 abstained and 6 joined Russia in voting against the resolution-- Belarus, North Korea, Syria, Eritrea, Mali and Nicaragua (sadly the only resolution that will have a chance is a steady stream of wounded and dead Russians heading back to Russia). In Los Angeles, we know why climate activists no longer use the term “global warming” instead of climate change as a winter blizzard warning has been issued for parts of L.A., the first once since 1989; the Mississippi Bulldogs baseball team are blessed with having an ambidextrous pitcher, freshman Jurrangelo who in 4 innings of work against LSU Monroe struct out 7 batters in 4 innings, 6 right handed and 1 left handed in a 14-3 win. The Women Utes destroyed Cal  101-76 probably leaving their starters will rested for Saturday’s 11:00 A.M. game against Stanford at Salt Lake City, who despite an atrocious start missing their first 15 shots beat Colorado in double overtime 72-63.  Go Stanford an onward to a Pac 12 Championship by winning the Pac 12 Championship starting March 1.
