The Chiefs fans were lining
up for the victory parade today a 6:00 A.M. in the morning and the parade route
was soon packed with fans with Patrick Mahomes swizzling beers while holding up
his MVP silver football in one hand and Kelce snagging a Fireball thrown up at
him from a fan to quaff in down while most of the Chiefs were vowing they would
be back on the route next year with another win. Raquel Welch passed at 82 and
the residents of East Palestine, the scene of a massive train derailment on
some 110 rail cars are not buying the EPA’s assurances that with toxic fires
burning and toxic clouds soaring into the sky that it is safe to return to
their homes. In a great day for chickens but not necessarily for customers, McDonald’s

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not February 15, 2023
Noted Holidays: National St. Skeletor’s
Day: Created by British Comedian Richard Herring in 1998 to commiserate
on the day after Valentine’s with those single people who had not valentine to
share a date with or to send a card to or receive a card from but who will
probably receive no sympathy from the likes of Hallmark Cards, Sees Chocolates
or the American Florists Association, all of whom and their members reap in
huge dollars for Valentine’s Day.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “agnosy” which
describes a lack of enlightenment which describes too many of our elected or
appointed officials in their views of us mere mortals.
Number 1 Song: The number 1
song on this day in 1958 was “At The Hop” by Danny and the Juniors on a run of 7
weeks to share with 25 other songs that achieved number one status while 8 acts achieved their first number one status. Here
is Danny and the Juniors performing in suits and ties “At The Hop”:

Although the group released several singles,
1 of which reach the top forty they were never able to replicate the success of
“At The Hop.”

Famous Quotes on Notable Events Or
Persons: Miel Giel: “My
story is a story of very ordinary people during extraordinarily terrible times.
Times of which I hope will never, never come again. It is for all of us
ordinary people all over the world to see that they do not.”
Miel Giel: “The message to take from Anne’s story is to stop prejudice
and discrimination right at its beginning. Prejudice starts when we speak about
THE Jews, THE Arabs, THE Asians, THE Mexicans, THE Blacks, THE Whites. This
leads to the feeling that all members of each such group think and act the same.”
Miel Giel “If any German had ever asked Anne to tell something about
herself, I think she would be still with us today. However, nobody asked: she
was just a Jew!”
