Super Bowl LVII lived up to
all the drama expected with two talented young quarterbacks entering the game
at below 100% with Mahone still recovering from an ankle sprain and Hurts
recovering from a shoulder injury with the 1st half ending with the
Eagles ahead by 10 and Mahone on the sideline in a world of hurt grimacing from
a reinjuring his ankle. He somehow overcame the pain and scramble like his old
self, a 26 yard scamper to set up the winning field goal with less than 10
seconds left and was named the outstanding player of the game but Jalen Hurts’
performance other than a fumble which was run back for a Chief’s T.D. was
remarkable, passing for 304 yards and rushing for 70 yards to break a 20 year
old Super Bowl record for rushing by quarterbacks while Mahone on a gimpy ankle
passed for 182 yards and rushed for 44 which should end any doubt that the era
of the drop back passer is probably over. The 4th intruder over Lake
Huron was traveling at 20,000 feet was shot down as journalists and Reds are
becoming increasingly frustrated that the Biden Administration is playing the
intrusions and shoot downs very close to the vest in terms of details
especially as to how many intrusions have occurred in the past not reported.
Super Bowl ads are incredibly expensive and after each Super Bowl debate rages
over how effective and distinctive the ads were but with respect to 2 ads by the Christian group He Gets It touting a
Jesus empathetic to migrants and the poor and frustrated with the divisiveness
of politics. AOC was outraged over their airing claiming Jesus was promoting
fascism. Lebron James may be the King of Basketball after breaking Kareem Abdul
Jabbar’s scoring record but for football fans at Superbowl LVII he was booed
when video showed him in attendance in a skybox and his placing an imaginary
crown on his head did not mollify the
crowd of booers Hope also you find Ridley's Believe It Or Not worth your time

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not February 13, 2023
Noted Holidays: National
Football Hangover Day Created by Katie Nolan in January of 2019 to be suffered
on the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday which marks the end of the NFL season but
probably observed without designation since the first Super Bowl held on
January 15, 1967 in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum by large numbers of
Americans calling in sick on Monday following too much celebrating either
before, during or after the game or among the above average numbers of DUI’s
arrested that Sunday recovering behind bars.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “aggrate” which
means to gratify or please which hopefully will describe your Valentine’s
reaction to your gift tomorrow.
Number 1 Song: The number 1
song on this day in 1960 was “Teen Angel” by Mark Dinning on a run of 2 weeks
to share with 18 other songs that achieved number one status while 12 acts,
including Mark Dinning, achieved their
first Billboard 100 number one status. Here is Mark Dinning performing “Teen
Angel”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG_VIcoiCFA Mark suffered from alcoholism which turned “Teen Angel” in terms
of hits to “one and done” although he did subsequently have 3 minor hits before
dying of a heart attack at age 52.

Famous Quotes on Notable
Events Or Persons: Air Force General Merrill McPeak on
the bombing of the Amiriyah bomb shelter in Baghdad: “With
those, [satellite reconnaissance photos] it’s rather difficult to separate out
civilians from somebody wearing a uniform. It never occurred to us that it was
a place where civilians went to take shelter – we thought of it as a military
bunker in which command and control facilities resided. Civilian casualties
happened, this was a legitimate military target, it was hit precisely, it was
destroyed and put out of business – and there was very little collateral
damage.”
