Noted Holidays: National Heimlich
Maneuver Day: Celebrating the invention by Doctor Henry Heimlich who
in 1974 created the procedure that by locking hands under the sternum and
pulling upwards the air pressure will expel anything swallowed into the trachea
that is preventing someone from breathing. The American Red Cross estimates
some 3,000 people are saved yearly by the maneuver and if patrons or servers in
a restaurant or family members at a home dinner waited for the paramedics to
arrive, good chance the victim might die or if resuscitated suffer brain
damage.

Opposing
Views of CNN:
Robert Murdoch: “CNN
is pretty consistently on the left, if you look at their choice of stories,
what they play up. It's not what they say. It's what they highlight. I
am amazed that CNN cannot get its act together.”
Jeff Zucker: “ In an increasingly polarized world, it's hard to know whom to
trust. CNN will be the only news channel that doesn't take a side.”
