Stanford in the world of academics is one of the world’s
best universities
First class research and top notch best and brightest students
who lead to the plethora of successful startups in Silicon Valley we see
But overshadowed by its academic standings is a lesser known
fact
It is not only a collection of nerds but first class
athletes it also attracts
Since 1976 for every year Stanford has won at least one NCAA
National Championship
With 136, most of any university, to its credit its athletic
programs are clearly blue-chip
During the Paris Olympics this year 60 former and current Stanford
athletes will compete
The largest number of athletes any university will send to
try an Olympic medal around an athlete’s neck greet
Sport fans should be garbed in T-shirts with a logo “Fear
the Tree”
Or better yet a logo in French “Peur de L’aubre” to see
