Mahone Thrills the Crowd with a Behind the Back Pass to Kelce Which He Caught For a First Down

 

In the NBA and WNBA behind the back passes to a teammate viewers often see
When the teammate is open and ready to continue a scoring spree
Which is why the leagues and soccer and the NHL keep track of assists
Which adds to a player’s worth at contract renewal to stay on or move up the scoring A-List
But until today the closest thing in the NFL to a behind the back pass
Is a fling thrown to escape a sack of a tackling lineman with the QB in his grasp
Mahones was rolling to his right with Kelce to his left between two linemen
Not enough time to raise his arm but enough time to a behind the back pass send
Which Kelce caught for a first down to keep a drive alive
But since the Lions started using more of its vets a win for the Chiefs they deprived
Mahones with that toss showed us once again he is a magician on a threepeat quest
A signal that to win a threepeat Super Bowl if Mahones stays healthy the Chiefs will not be hard-pressed
