On the immigration front, after
meeting with Texas Red Rep. Gonzales, Elon Musk is doing what our MIA President
and MIA VP is doing what they have failed to do go to ground zero of the
illegals surge to see the flood to understand what we must do. Ayanna Presley
who like a stuck record keeps claiming the border is secure should have gone
with him to remove the secure border cataracts from her eyes.
On the diplomatic front,
Travis King an American Army soldier who bolted across the DMZ to enter North
Korea to be immediately detained is back on U.S. soil again although the
military appears clueless on what prompted his flight and Americans are unsure
of what if any sanctions he will face. A rare case of successful diplomacy
between the United States and North Korea without the payment of money by the
United States or release of frozen assets.
On the potential Biden
impeachment front, the House opened an informal impeachment inquiry with impending
threat of a government shutdown with Blues arguing that Biden himself received
no money when the statutes cover receipt by spouse or close relative individuals
who have received wire transfers of funds from foreign sources in the aggregate
of more than $20 million.
On the rising gas price front, the
price of oil has moved to just north of $94 a barrel and the national average price
of regular gasoline has risen to $3.83 with California leading the nation with
an average price of regular gas at $6.079 and Mississippi in the envious
position of having the cheapest gas at $3.246.
On
the AI front, high tech companies and the general population are awaiting the
expected release of an executive order which will deal with permitted uses of
AI protections relating to invasion of privacy. Unfortunately, there are no
laws dealing with AI and critics are complaining that executive orders as
opposed to congressional action are not the preferred method of trying to regulate
the use of AI.
On the labor relations front, the
WGA strike has ended while the SAG strike is still ongoing and while late night
talk shows are putting writers back to work, other shows and films may not be
hot to trot to bring writers back to work when there are no actors available to
deliver acting services for the scripts. The auto strike against the Big Three
is slowly expanding in terms of the number of workers walking off their jobs
due to the strikes. Even though needs another strike like a hole in the head,
thousands of health care workers are poised to go on strike.
On the retail legal front, the FTC,
having sued Google for being a monopoly, is now suing Amazon in a suit joined
by 17 state AG’s for exercising monopoly power to raise prices, reduce quality
and stifle competitive innovation.
On the criminal legal front,
Sam Bankman-Fried the founder of the crypto currency company F-T-X who has been
confined to jail due to violating the conditions of his parole is scheduled to
start trial next week.
On the space front after 371
days in space aboard ISS due to a Soyuz Space Craft that had developed a
coolant leak, Frank Rubio was finally able to return to Earth.

Historical Events in Rhyme
1.
On this day in 2008 after 3 failed attempts to put a satellite launched by
Falcon 1 into space/With Musk claiming SpaceX had to launch again as B/K it was
about to face/Quickly another Falcon 1 was assembled with spare parts/To on
this into space successfully depart/To become the first satellite put into
orbit with a liquid fueled rocket by an organization privately financed/NASA no
longer had a monopoly and private enterprise into space commerce could now advance.
2. On
this day in 1995 Yitzhak Rabin for Israel and Yasser Arafat for the PLO/Signed an
agreement calling for more self-government in areas of the West Bank known as
the 2nd Oslo/Another step to try to bring peace in this troubled
land/Their signatures expected as after signing Oslo 1, both had Nobel Peace
Prizes in their hands.
3. On
this day in 1975 in London, 3 members of the Black Liberation Front/With a
sawed off shotgun and two handguns entered the Spaghetti House to the staff
confront/An attempted robbery that the staff thwarted by hiding sacks of money under
tables on the floor/Then herded into the basement while the manager escaped
through a back door/Police called and restaurant surrounded so the BLF members
tried to a political cause create/Police knew it was only a robbery and did not
take the bait/One of the BLF members shot himself in the stomach on the 6th
day when hostages released and robbers surrendered to prison face/The Stockholm
Principle was alive and well as one of the hostages often visited one of the
robbers in his prison place.
4. On
this day in 1941/Fans witnessed some MLB history that will never again be done/Batted
.406 to end the season/Why a .400 hitter will never be seen again is this
reason/Today a complete game by a pitcher is a rare event/Even if allowing few
hits or walks after some 100 pitchers a reliever to the mound is sent/ A fresh
arm throwing not seen before sliders, sinkers, or blistering heat/Chances for
hitters to get any hits easier to swing or caught looking down to defeat. 5
. On this day in 1919 the nation witnessed a racial riot and lynching in Omaha/When an arrested alleged black rapist Willie Brown was subjected to lynch law/A mob of angry whites stormed the courthouse where he was jailed/Set it on fire and tried to hang the white reform mayor but fortunately failed/Broke into pawn shops to steal some 1000 arms/ Firing at police trying to protect Brown to inflict harm/Outnumbered the mob snatched Brown and hanged him, pumping his body full of lead/Even after it was very clear this suspect was dead/Then burned to a crisp the corpse with fire/Then their mob violence sated after U.S. Army troops arrived at 3:00 A.M. to their homes to retire/A terrible stain on this nation but what followed was probably worse/120 whites from the mob were indicted for their roles in the riot but few were prosecuted and all released without in prison a single day—a sad case of violent racism on display. Brown’s burned body after hanging admired by mob.
Quote on the
lynching of Will Brown by Californian Chris Hebert, who learned in a Henry
Fonda television special of Omaha’s riot and Brown’s murder and purchased a
headstone for his grave with “Lest we forget” engraved:
“It’s too bad it took
deaths like these to pave the way for the freedoms we have today. . . . I got
the headstone thinking that if I could reach just one person, it was well worth
the money spent.”
