Mayor Adams of New York City Seems Incapable of Cutting Spending for Illegals but Will Impair Safety by Cutting NYPD Overtime

 

When it comes to having to cut spending after being dragged kicking and screaming to spending curtail
Politicians are incapable of prioritizing spending to what we really need and on misguided programs bail
Mayor Eric Adams is the leftist poster child
Of sanctuary city welcomes running wild
The flood of illegals lured by free medical care, free food and shelter and education for their kids
Will without doubt any chance for fiscal solvency in the Big Apple rid
With violent crime making the city unsafe whether in or out of your home
On the streets and subways too many armed felons with guns or knives roam
The NYPD with morale sinking to all time lows
Each day more cops to the retirement line choosing to go
Yet Adams cannot touch the freebie handouts to bogus asylum seekers who have broken our laws
Instead impairing the residents’ safety he is cutting police overtime an idea too flawed
Waiting almost 17 months to sweep Biden and large numbers of Senate and House Blues back to their homes will be hard task
When will Blues get it that unless they join Reds to secure the border not much longer in office will they bask?
