Obstructed by the Freedom Caucus Saved by the Blues House Funding Bill For 45 Days Without Ukraine Aid Sails Through

The Gang of 21 Reds of the House Freedom Caucus stood their ground
Could care less of a disaster if the government was shut down
McCarthy in a corner had no choice but to their obstruction go around
Appealed to Blues for funding support which he quickly found
A 45 day funding bill with $16 billion additional for disaster relief
But no military aided for Ukraine which will cause them much grief
The Senate bill for funding does have money for Ukraine
Compromise between House and Senate needed or efforts go down the drain
The can so often in the Swamp has been kicked down the road
While the national debt keeps soaring for future generations a heavier load
The losers in this political mess
Must be the Gang of 21 causing such stress
Each of them should face primary challenges by budget hawks
Who while keeping principle when compromise is needed will not balk
Politics to be responsive to the peoples’ needs
Must never the siren call of my way or the highway heed
We still must pass a bill by House and Senate by midnight
But good chance 1 ½ months of continued funding are in sight

On the immigration front, after meeting with Texas Red Rep. Gonzales, Elon Musk is doing what our MIA President and MIA VP is doing what they have failed to do go to ground zero of the illegals surge to see the flood to understand what we must do. Ayanna Presley who like a stuck record keeps claiming the border is secure should have gone with him to remove the secure border cataracts from her eyes.
On the diplomatic front, Travis King an American Army soldier who bolted across the DMZ to enter North Korea to be immediately detained is back on U.S. soil again although the military appears clueless on what prompted his flight and Americans are unsure of what if any sanctions he will face. A rare case of successful diplomacy between the United States and North Korea without the payment of money by the United States or release of frozen assets.
On the potential Biden impeachment front, the House opened an informal impeachment inquiry with impending threat of a government shutdown with Blues arguing that Biden himself received no money when the statutes cover receipt by spouse or close relative individuals who have received wire transfers of funds from foreign sources in the aggregate of more than $20 million.
On the rising gas price front, the price of oil has moved to just north of $94 a barrel and the national average price of regular gasoline has risen to $3.83 with California leading the nation with an average price of regular gas at $6.079 and Mississippi in the envious position of having the cheapest gas at $3.246.
On the AI front, high tech companies and the general population are awaiting the expected release of an executive order which will deal with permitted uses of AI protections relating to invasion of privacy. Unfortunately, there are no laws dealing with AI and critics are complaining that executive orders as opposed to congressional action are not the preferred method of trying to regulate the use of AI.
On the labor relations front, the WGA strike has ended while the SAG strike is still ongoing and while late night talk shows are putting writers back to work, other shows and films may not be hot to trot to bring writers back to work when there are no actors available to deliver acting services for the scripts. The auto strike against the Big Three is slowly expanding in terms of the number of workers walking off their jobs due to the strikes. Even though needs another strike like a hole in the head, thousands of health care workers are poised to go on strike.
On the retail legal front, the FTC, having sued Google for being a monopoly, is now suing Amazon in a suit joined by 17 state AG’s for exercising monopoly power to raise prices, reduce quality and stifle competitive innovation.
On the criminal legal front, Sam Bankman-Fried the founder of the crypto currency company F-T-X who has been confined to jail due to violating the conditions of his parole is scheduled to start trial next week.
On the space front after 371 days in space aboard ISS due to a Soyuz Space Craft that had developed a coolant leak, Frank Rubio was finally able to return to Earth.

Noted Holidays:  World Rabies Day created by the Global Alliance for Rabies Prevent and celebrated on this day, the anniversary the birth of Louis Pasteur, to promote and enable the vaccination of dogs and cats to prevent them from spreading the disease which is almost 100% fatal if not diagnosed and quickly treated.

Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1978 was “Boogie Oogie, Oogie” by The Taste of Honey on a run  of 3 weeks to share number 1 status with 19 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 11 acts, including Taste of Honey, achieved number one status for the first time.  Here is a recording  of the Taste of Honey performing “Boogie, Oogie, Oogie”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYWkG_DI5OE

Quote on the lynching of Will Brown by Californian Chris Hebert, who learned in a Henry Fonda television special of Omaha’s riot and Brown’s murder and purchased a headstone for his grave with “Lest we forget” engraved:

“It’s too bad it took deaths like these to pave the way for the freedoms we have today. . . . I got the headstone thinking that if I could reach just one person, it was well worth the money spent.”

Maher Leading the Chorus of Increasing Numbers of Blues Wanting Biden to From His Reelection Race Withdraw

In 1968 LBJ’s TV announcement that he would not seek reelection or accept a draft caught almost everyone in total surprise
LBJ justified intentions that his reelection was less important that bringing the divisive war in Vietnam to a demise
The Vietnam War was tearing us apart
McCarthy almost won the New Hampshire primary as a political upstart
But LBJ to even those closest to him seemed to be pedal to the metal to a second term win
To hint or even whisper he should not run for reelection would be castigated as a grievous political sin
Fast forward today unlike LBJ who was mentally alert and all energy cylinders running at full speed
We have a frail, stumbling, aging old man whose cognitive abilities are declining and have gone to seed
Even with Trump’s legal baggage and his negative numbers his chances are increasing he will win
Another fall, another McConnell like moment, never ending mental gaffs that cannot be concealed no matter how hard the spin
Now more and more voices from Blues are being heard
That the idea of an 82 year old in his condition starting a second term is absurd
Bill Maher is the latest to call on Biden to withdraw from his reelection race
Comparing his running to the damage caused by RBG’s refusal to resign and have Obama with a liberal SCOTUS Justice replace
If he does not and Harris remains on the ticket as his VP
More and more liberals believe a Red landslide they will really see
Unfortunately we may not see a déjà vu of 1968
As on October 9, 2023 RFK, Jr is expected to announce as a 3rd Party candidate
From the pool of Biden voters he will be a huge sucking sound
Almost certain guarantee Biden’s chances to win will crash down

RIP Diane Feinstein One of Stanford's Most Accomplished Alumni

The Wind of Freedom Blows Over Dianne Feinstein’s Grave

The longest serving in the Senate has at age 90 died
In ill health, confined to a wheelchair and mentally barely holding on, her goal to serve out her term denied
The 3 Blue Reps vying to be appointed to her seat
Are moaning now their chances are doomed to defeat
Swalwell and Schiff are both white males
And Porter is a white female
Newsom, prepping the ground for a “replace Biden run”
Announce any appointed senator who is not a black female he would shun
Painful to see this senator suffering physically and mentally barely there
Wishing she could resign to enjoy what little time relishing in her stellar accomplishments as a senator and SFO mayor
Her many years in politics a tribute to Stanford that sends forth the brightest and the best
Except for the likes of Adam Schiff who totally fails all credibility tests
Will the 3 Blue Reps now be running to the appointed senator replace?
At least 2 and maybe all 3 will be out of office many Reds hope will be the case
Not sure if it must be a black woman who Newsom will chose
But if itis  Karen Bass the new mayor of L.A. all 3 Blue Reps would lose

NY Post Reduce Reds on Next Red Debate to 2 This Poet Suggests 3--Haley, De Santis and Bergum

This poet believes the third time is the charm
Good things come in threes so three on the stage would do no harm
 Clear 2 of the 3
De Santis and Haley must be
And the third should be the seasoned business man on the stage
Especially as inflation and confrontation with China in all aspects will rage
Bergum is a job creator running a state
Not a career politician with over promises to his or her thirst for votes sate
May have to lighten his Addam's Family eyelashes
But he like Haley and De Santis will send Biden's campaign to crash

Ayanna Presley Blind to the Illegals, Deaf to Officials' and Residents' Pleas and Brain Useless to the Dangers Comprehend Doubles Down to Claim Border Is Secure

We should have compassion for those who are hit with the one two punch of being deaf and blind
But how should we feel when there is the suffering trifecta of deaf, blind and having lost one’s mind?
In the case of Ayanna Presley who on the border suffers from all three we have nothing but contempt
Who on securing the border she bashes and belittles any attempt
She keeps intoning that the border is secure and asylum is a human right
In her delusional mind having a nation is upon humanity a severe blight
Her corollary to all animals are equal but pigs are more equal is defined
All migrants are equal but asylum claimers for any reason go to the head of the line
If illegals after claiming asylum are released and let go
Then the CBP is doing what it should by speeding up the release flow
Hard to argue with an idiot whose view of reality is distorted beyond belief
And cares not one whit that her views are on us and her constituents imposing a world of grief
Blind to the flood of illegals, deaf to the pleas of towns’ social services out of money forced to end
Mind totally clogged with plague so the damage it cannot comprehend
Time to send bus after bus to her district crammed with illegals to the gills
And whether due to crime, drugs, overflowing shelters, bankrupt ER’s and schools will the border remain secure still?
When the homeless start being evicted so illegals can them replace
In the coming election watch this idiot go down in flames in her 2024 race

Murrieta Woman Leaves Cell Phone in Store After Stealing $600 Worth of Goods Returns and Demands Phone Back Which Store Owner Says OK if Goods Are Returned --Woman Attacks and She and Her Shoplifting Cohort Are Jailed

On the retail crime front, in Murrieta, Kaydrianna Hall, 24, and Serenadi Banks, 19, were shop lifting in Premier Nails not shopping
Left with $600 worth of goods, into their car leaving but quickly stopping
On of them had left her cell phone in Premier Nails
Returned to demand her phone back but failed
Owner would hand over the cellphone if the stollen goods were given back
The phone owner was so outraged at losing her stolen goods the owner she attacked
Police caught up with the two
With stolen goods in plain view
Bail set at $5000 each probably for the assault not the shoplifting
Pretty dumb of her to the trade resisting
With the $950 hurdle to a charge of grand theft to be met
She could have continued on her less than $950 shoplifting ways and any chance of jail time forget
But the assault is a different matter
The D.A. might charge if the victim knocked to the ground and battered

Polk County Near Disneyworld Arrested 219 in a Trafficking Operation, Including a Teacher and 3 Disney Employees

In Orlando Disney is known as the “Most Magical Place on Earth” as its tagline
Now after a massive 7 day human trafficking operation better words to define
The “Most Human Trafficked Place” in the state known for its sunshine
219 arrested for prostitution, human trafficking and assisting prostitution now in jail confined
2 illegal aliens to no one’s surprise
But a teacher and 3 Disney employees did raise some eyes
When Disneyworld was its own government
Wonder if it would have on a sting its officials sent
Doubt it as the adverse publicity is not what Disney would have sought
But Polk County Sheriff would not let a large arrest opportunity go for naught
Not sure how quickly the arrestees will be back on the streets
But a warning to traffickers that the sheriff will their trafficking attempts defeat.

On the Republican Primary front 7 dwarfs without Asa Hutchison were on stage at the Reagan Library with viewers wishing that in addition to Reagan’s 11th Commandment not to speak ill will of a fellow Republican, that he had a 12th Commandment that one in a debate among Republicans that one would not interrupt or speak over a fellow Republicans that occurred almost constantly tonight. Pence was more animated but basically never answered the questions poised to him. De Santis was touting his record; Haley was probably the winner and Scott while he was much more energized probably will not advance in the polls; Christie excoriated Trump for not being there to defend his record and said if he continued to pursue that course he would be known as “Donald Duck” not Donald Trump; Ramaswamy was hyper charged and forcibly advocated an end to military aid to Ukraine and Burgum touted his record as an entrepreneur creating jobs (sadly unless some more indictable offenses against Trump appear, a Don Quixote moment for those seeking the presidential nomination but not so if the quest was for a VP slot).
On the Trump campaign front, Trump was in Clinton Township, Michigan speaking before a crowd of autoworkers pledging that if elected the future of the automobile will be “Made in America” and justified his absence with a 56 point lead and Biden’s push for more EV’s that will destroy a large number of UAW jobs. Responded to Christie by saying anyone who comes up with a “Donald Duck” nickname is not fit to be running for president.
On the slob front, the Senate after being accused of lowering dress code standards to slob level, unanimously reinstated business attire the requirement when on the Senate floor, sending Fetterman’s Hoody, shorts and tennis shoes back to his closet.
On the attacking members of the press, Shellyne Rodriguez a former Hunter College professor who was fired by the college for threatening a reporter with a machete and was arrested for a 3rd degree misdemeanor has been hire as an adjunct professor at the Cooper Union School of Art, teaching a 3 credit sculpture course.
On the retail icon front, Oscar Meyer 4 months ago rebranded its famous Weinermobile the “Frankmobile” which sounds like a congressional mailing privilege or a terse no holds barred speech but quickly as opposed to the Bud Light fiasco recognized  it error and the Weinermobile is back on the streets.
On the substitution front, Red Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee is stepping in as the Arizona Governor for less than 24 hours due to the mysterious disappearance of Katie Hobbs but will not fill any of the 13 positions that need legislative approval while Hobbs is absent from the state.
On the retail crime front, Philadelphia, the City of Brazen Looting endured a peaceful protest over a judge dismissed murder charges against a white police officer who shot and killed a black resident Edie Irizarry which was followed by unrelated looting of high end stores several hours later. In Oakland small business owners on crime are at the end of their rope and some 200 small businesses in protest are going on strike some for the entire day and others unable to bear the cost for 2 hours before noon. When will Newsom and the Blue dominated legislature lower the $950 hurdle to qualify as the grand theft felony?
On the homeless front, urban cities are plagued with tent cities with drug use, urine and feces but in Denver, Jon Caldara, the president of the Independence Institute, outraged over the feces in front of his business scooped it up and deposited on the steps of city hall with this message “This is a present from the homeless to the people who have kept this homeless problem going.”

Hank Johnson of "Guam will sink to too many people came" Inanely Believes No Border Crisis--Send the Buses to His District!

Blue Georgia Representative Hank Johnson infamous for his claim
That the island of Guam would tip over if too many people to it came
Is now asserting that there is no crisis on our Southern border
He must have either a vision or severe mental disorder
Or given the number of illegals crossing daily, he believes
There is no crisis since this is what the Blues want to achieve
His Georgia Congressional District should be on Abbott’s and De Santis’ list
To send bus load after bus load of illegals to show him that a crisis does exist
When shelters are overwhelmed and treasury coffers for social safety nets become bare
Then maybe this delusional Representative will realize we have a crisis there
Ludicrous for him to blast a reporter who has visited the border at lot
That she was talking to the wrong people instead of the no crisis believers to be sought
On the border there are no residents Blue or Red who feel a crisis is not present
Another reason why as many busloads of illegals possible to his district should be sent

Search Warrants on Hunter's FARA Crimes Order by DOJ to Contain No Reference to Biden

On the Biden/Hunter Biden coverup front
And the politicization of the DOJ which is a major affront
The search warrants prepared by the DOJ on Hunter’s FARA crimes
Specifically in order to protect Biden big time
No mention of documents that to him pertained
From the public any release of damaging info on the “Big Guy” refrained
When James Biden was interviewed the investigators were ordered to not ask
Any question on Biden’s involvement with Hunter’s CEFC Energy tasks
AUSA Lesley Wolf kept the Hunter investigators on a very short rope
Despite investigators believing evidence of campaign finance violations AUSA Wolf ruled that investigation was beyond their scope
The emails and logs clearly show that Biden knew Hunter’s activities very well
And yet he lied continually to the American people his no contact try to sell
Obstruction of justice is what forced Nixon to resign
The same may be present in Hunter’s case with Biden involved big time

Hillary Clinton at the State Department to View Her Official Portrait That Should Hang Next to the Photo of Ambassador Chris Stevens Killed in Attack on Benghazi on September 11, 2012lle0 e S

For her official portrait as a former Secretary of State, HRC looked regal in her green dress
Wonder why it took so long after she left office—was it due to her not accepting 2016 loss facial stress?
That it took until now to no longer show up on her face
When the portrait will the hall of the State Department grace
To be complete another portrait or photo should next to it be placed
The smiling face of Ambassador Chris Stevens so the memory of his death is not erased
Why was he was sent to Benghazi without an American security detail
Instead of the Libyan “guards” of questionable reliability who quickly bailed
The blood Chris Stevens is on her hands
Along with the 3 outnumbered Americans who tried to the attacks withstand

House Passes Bill 424-1 to Revoke Biden Administration Regulation Banning Federal Funding to Schools with Hunter Safety and Archery Programs

Bipartisanship needed in Congress so badly to address our problems is on the endangered species list
When party loyalty trumps needed solutions mere mortals in anger call on their Reps to partisanship resist
Biden knowing he can’t get his leftist agenda passed in the Senate or House has become the Executive Order and Regulatory king
With each stroke of his pen or crushing regulation posted in the Federal Register, closer to autocracy in this nation he brings
An out of touch and incorrect interpretation of a 2022 gun control bill
Blinded by its distaste of the 2nd ruled that if a school had an archery or hunter safety class it would federal funding kill|
The House voted 424-1 to pass the Protecting Hunting Heritage Act to Biden’s regulations revoke
The Senate, almost guaranteed, will join to prove that when it comes to our cherished liberties and tradition Biden is a dangerous joke.

On Trump’s legal front bad news for the ex-president as the judge in the civil law suit brought by the New York AG Letitia James who ran for office on a promise to “get Trump” issued a partial summary judgment on the over stating asset valuations in applying for credit and forfeited the Trump organization’s ability to do business in New York. The ruling puts a damper on the latest WAPO’s poll showing Trump leading Biden 52% to 42%.
On the Biden canine front the adage that a dog is a man’s best friend seems no longer applicable if the dog is Commander or if the man is Biden as a new report out that Commander has bitten a Secret Service Agent in the White House for the 11th time (we know that Secret Service Agents vow to take a bullet to protect the president but taking a vicious dog bite is not in the job description).
On the football front, Colin Kaepernick with Aaron Rogers’ season ending injury must be jumping for joy as he is trying to be signed by the New York Jets who have Zach Wilson who is not impressing anyone. He is trying to get his foot in the door by offering his services as a veteran QB for the scout team to help prepare the Jets’ defense.
On the argument for gun control front on the night of March 3 Pedro Ramos picked up his pregnant wife and 6 year old child at the Houston Airport and drove to a nearby Jack-In-The Box and ordered a combo meal from Alloniea Ford  who got into an argument over whether the curly fries had been delivered which escalated despite a failed attempt to calm Ford down as she started throwing ketchup packages at Ramos and he started throwing things back; she pulled a handgun and he sped away as she fired several shots as he sped away all captured on surveillance film. Ford was fired and was released from probation in June of this year which begs the question why wasn’t Ford charged with attempted murder and why was she not schooled in the idea that the customer is always right by her employer. Jack-In-The-Box is being sued for the acts of its employee and failure to vet her.
On the retail crime front Philadelphia once known as the “City of Brotherly Love” should now be known as the “City of Brazen Looters” as roving gangs of large numbers of teenaged looters attacked at Foot Locker, Apple Store and Lululemon in the city’s City Center with the outnumbered police only able to arrest 10-15 and what is also very frightening confiscate 2 handguns (this sort of behavior should rise to the level of felonies and perhaps become easier to hold parents culpable for their kid’s violent thieving actions.
On the failed Bidenomics front, Miami Heat superstar Jeremy Butler who is guaranteed $146,396,031 filled up his gas hogging Bentley and was outraged it cost $145 which he claimed to be “highway robbery.” He can afford the cost and better yet to be more environmentally friendly buy a Tesla to avoid “highway robbery” each time he needs to fill up.
On the Keystone Kops front the Reds finally got their act together to pass a procedural vote to have 4 funding bills come up for vote with some concern that Marjorie Taylor Green is dead set against funding for Ukraine. Sadly this right wing zealot must not have read anything on Sudetenland Appeasement and its emboldening of Hitler to invade Poland and kick off WWII. She needs to substitute Ukraine for the Sudetenland, Putin for Hiter and the Baltic Republics and Poland for Poland which would move us into Article 5 of NATO and nuclear obliteration.
On the porous southern border front, over the weekend the CBP apprehended some 16,500 illegals as the surge continues unabated. In a we can believe it Mexico has announced it will start deporting some illegals to their home countries. It is mindboggling that Biden was oblivious to the fact that that his executive order on almost 500,000 Venezuelans would cause a surge among that group who are appearing more and more in those crossing illegally.
On the celebrity tax evasion front, noted Singer Shakira is being charged again for tax evasion for income earned in 2018 with Spanish authorities claiming she owes $7.1 million.
September 26, 2023 Michael P. Ridley aka The Alaskanpoet
Noted Holidays: National Meso Day: Created by Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation in 2004 and celebrated on this day since then and recognized by Congress in 2010 to create awareness of this cancer caused by exposure to asbestos to promote early diagnosis to give victims a far better survival chance. Some 3,000 cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed each year with the pleural form being the most common and sadly the most deadly with a 5 year survival rate after diagnosis of only 12%.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “averruncate” which means to ward off something  not enjoyed like a shark attack.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1980 was “Upside Down” by Diana Ross on  a run  of 4 weeks to share number 1 status with 16 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 6 acts, including John Lennon who was the 4th artist to achieve that status posthumously, achieved  number one status for the first time.  Here is a recording of Diana Ross performing “Upside Down”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDHW5wXBvLw
September 26 Birthdays: “Doing What He Loved to Do”—Lt. Colonel Michael V. Love, born on this day in 1938 to become a USAF and NASA test pilot after combat tours in South Vietnam. Flying the unpowered reentry vehicle the XB-24 on 11 flights to establish that an unpowered craft like the future Shuttle could reenter the atmosphere and safely land. Sadly flying a RF-4C (Phantom) he attempted an emergency landing instead of bailing out an died flying a jet which is what he loved to do on March 1, 1976.

              1.      On this day in 2008 Swiss Inventor and aviation enthusiast Yves Rossy became the first person to gravity defy/And after stepping off from a plane with a jet pack with wings across the English Channel fly/After a 9 minute flight came to an end/Pull his rip cord and to the ground his parachute would him safely send.

         2.      On this day in 1984 the idea of perpetuity for British rule in Hong Kong came to an end/Without the water supplies of the New Territories back to Chinese rule the Hong Kong by the Brits must send/ An agreement was signed to turnover Hong Kong in 1997 to China ruled by the CCP/Those living in Hong Kong were condemned to under the CCP losses of freedoms to see.
              3.      On this day in 1981 Nolan Ryan set MLB record with his 5th no hitter/ But when it came to pitching records Ryan was no quitter/Threw 2 more no hitters before his career was done/The record for most strike outs at 5714 was easily won/Batters facing his 100 m.p.h. fastball speed and dropping 90 degree curveball would be stunned/But the best statistic that would show his domination/The batting averages against him were .204 to send batters to minor leagues damnation.
              4.      On this day in 1973 the Concorde made its first crossing across the Atlantic to New York/In supersonic speed that business travel it hoped would support/ But sonic booms over land killed  the L.A., SFO and Chicago planned routes/Only New York and Washington D.C. since sonic booms were over the ocean did not give the Concorde the boot.
              5.      On this day in 1960 Americans watched the first televised debate between Nixon with his 5 O’clock shadow/And a youthful well prepared JFK that to Nixon’s image of the seasoned leader was a death blow/Images to the eyes always trump words heard by the ear/Although it would be a close election, chances of a Nixon victory disappeared/Not helped by his campaign that went to all 50 states/While JFK on states with large electoral votes would concentrate.
Quote on the First Televised Debate Between Nixon and Kennedy by Susan Estrich, noted American lawyer, professor and campaign manager for Michael Dukakis’ failed campaign for president: “John Kennedy won the first televised presidential debate among those watching it, while Richard Nixon won among those listening on the radio.”

September 25, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the strike fronts, Biden is going to Detroit to walk in a picket line with striking members of the UAW probably oblivious to the fact while supporting his Bidenomics that the UAW demands for a 40% pay increase and a 4 day work week are highly inflationary. At the press briefing KJP was bobbing and weaving big time as the press was tossing hardball not softball questions on why he was going when previously he has argued that he should not be taking positions on the strike.
On the 2024 presidential front at Wednesday night’s second Republican debate, Asa Hutchinson who was on the first failed to meet polling criteria and will not be on stage. Trump has elected to skip this debate also to focus on the  UAW members on strike (probably will warn them that Bidens rush to EV’s will mean fewer jobs as less labor is needed to make an EV).
On the Maui fire front, Lanai residents are being allowed to return to their burnt out dwellings but warned not to aggressively dig or search for possessions due to the amount of toxic materials and ash on site.
On the crime front, the El Paso Walmart shooter Patrick Crusius, pled guilty to killing 23 Walmart shoppers and wounding 22 and has also agreed to pay over $5.7 million to those killed or wounded in his shooting spree. A great victory against the perpetrators of hate crimes but high unlikely the victims will receive any funds.
On the COVID-19 although the pandemic is over and we seem to be returning some sense of normalcy, long COVID symptoms for some 7% of those who have been infected with COVID-19 continue to suffer symptoms of the disease for three months or more.

Noted Holidays: National Ataxia Day: Created by National Ataxia Foundation in 2000 and celebrated since inception on this day to raise awareness of Ataxia which is a neurological disorder that affects motor skills, balance and speech and raise funds seeking a cure or medications to alleviate this disease which often makes the sufferer look and act like he or she is severely intoxicated.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “avalement” which means allowing the knees to be bent while skiing which enables a skier to turn or stop to avoid skiing into another skier or worse and immovable thick tree like the one that killed Representative Sonny Bono.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1981 was “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie a run  of 9 weeks to share number 1 status with 16 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 10 acts, including Lionel Richie, achieved  number one status for the first time.  Here is a video recording of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie performing “Endless Love”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsqDoz2Co4o
September 25 Birthdays: “Opposites May Attract But Same Day Birthdays Are Like Geese”—Michael Douglas, born on this day in 1944 in New Brunswick, New Jersey and Catherine Zeta-Jones, born on this day in 1969 in Swansea, United Kingdom and married to each other since  November 18, 2000 and have two children together.

              1.      On this day in 2018 SCOTUS nominee Brent Kavanaugh/Accused by Chritine Blassey Ford of throwing her on top of a bed and trying to remove her clothes with his paws/Spoke for the first time after Feinstein released Ford’s claims she sat on for  days/To deny vehemently and forcibly all the accusations Ford chose to say/ All but Manchin, the Blues swayed by Hirono’s pleas that women must be heard and believed voted not to confirm/So by a vote of 50 to 48 Kavanaugh’s confirmation was affirmed.
             2.      On this day in 2018, noted comedian and actor Bill Cosby after years of numerous sexual abuse claims/By many women whose claims all sounded the same/Drugged to them pass out to be exposed to sex/Unable to have the ability to his advances resist or reject/His way too active reptilian brain was sentenced to 3 to 10 years/His victims could now breathe easier with his advances no longer to fear.
            3.      On this day in 1977 the first Chicago Marathon was run/Big controversy between the race organizers and the parks director before the race had begun/Parks director did not want his lawns crushed by thousands of running feet/Mayor Daly agreed to let the runners run in the streets/4200 runners started the race/But only 2128 finishers could keep up with the grueling pace.
             4.      On this day in 1974 Tommy John after tearing his ulnar ligament in his pitching arm of July 17, 1974/Went to see Doctor Frank Jobe to see if he could his career restore/Jobe performed the first ulnar collateral ligament replacement surgery that bears the pitcher’s name/After 2 years of rehabilitation Tommy John was able to 18 more years of pitching claim/And to pick up this nick name/”The Bionic Man” to go with his pitching fame.
            5.      On this day in 1944 in what would be one of the worst British defeats in Europe during the war/The surviving members of the British 1st Airborne who had jumped to take the Arnhem Bridge across the Rhine/With X Corps attempt to reach them stalled were running out of ammo and time/In the dark of night silently under the noses of the Germans who were closing in/Retreated in boats back across the Rhine in a battle they thought they would win/Of the 10,000 who jumped or rode gliders into Arnhem only 2200 were able to return/The rest were dead or captured due to  a “Bridge Too Far” and jumping into armor the presence of which was not until on the ground learned.
Quote on Operation Market Garden by Cornelius Ryan from A Bridge Too Far: ...the unasked question remained: how much longer should they hold out? At that time, in the early hours of Sunday, September 24, after eight days of battle, Urquhart's forces were estimated at less than 2,500 men. And for all of them there was only one question: when will Monty's forces arrive?

September 24, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the government shutdown front unless something changes on the views of a minority of the Reds from the right, we are heading for a shutdown this Monday night. Balancing the budget as a first step is a worthy goal but our spendthrift Reps have dug such a red ink hole it will take some years to bring spending back in line to revenue. Government shutdown is high stake poker game and when the benefit checks stop the Reds not the Blues will shoulder the blame.
On the Ukraine War front Zelensky’s speech to the Canadian Parliament was overshadowed by the uproar over a standing ovation for a surviving member of the 1st Galician Division raised by the Germans to fight the Soviets in World War II, a division which has never been accused of war crimes.
On the 2024 presidential front WAPO released its poll showing to its great surprise that Biden is losing to Trump 52 to 42 as voters are fed up with his age, his border policies and his handling of the economy. WAPO is trying to backpedal the results with border city hit with another 2000 plus illegals, another inflation report or gaffe not knowing where he is at or whom he is with reinforces his growing disapproval rating.
On the where not to go vacation front, Jamaica might surge to the top of the list as a dengue fever is sweeping across the nation with 565 cases already reported.
On the crime front at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds where the Mötley Crüe was scheduled to perform when shots rang out causing the band to retreat to their dressing rooms. And on a more serious corrupting front with the indictments of Bob Menendez for bribery and selling state secrets to Egypt, AOC has joined an increasing number of Blues demanding he resign but warning him not to use the race card as a defense.
On the strike front, the Writers Guild Association and the studios have entered into a tentative which has to be voted on but the WGA has pulled its pickets and if ratified as expected writers will be going back to work and the studios can now concentrate on the Screen Actors Guild Strike so actors can return to acting out the scripts the writers will now be soon creating for them

Noted Holidays: World Deaf Day: Created by International Federation of the Deaf in 1958 and celebrated on the last Sunday in September of each year to promote awareness of the difficulties of deaf people and promote awareness of the achievements of deaf people in all aspects of society.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is  “automysophobia” which means a fear of being dirty which is something the homeless clogging our urban city streets and parks in tent cities without shower or bathing facilities must have overcome.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1982 was “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” by  Chicago on a run of 2 weeks to share number 1 status with 14 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 10 acts achieved  number one status for the first time.  Here is a video recording of Chicago performing “Hard to Say I’m Sorry”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A0MPWseJIE
September 24 Birthdays: “The Left Does Not Have a Monopoly on Advocacy Journalism”—Lou Dobbs, born on this day in 1945 in Childress County, Texas to become its chief economics reporter and host of Moneyline only to leave after clashes with Rick Kaplan who became president of CNN and return when Kaplan left to host CNN News Sunday Morning and Lou Dobbs Moneyline but he evolved to focus on illegal immigration and corporate greed in opposing increases in the minimum and a steadfast proponent of the birther movement against Obama. Left CNN to join Fox to become a very pro Trumper on his Fox Business Channel Lou Dobbs Tonight and an advocate of the position that the 2020 election was stolen by fraud and the January 6, storming of the Capitol was an antifa plot which prompted 2 massive defamation suits against Fox and Dobbs which were settled but his show was canceled.

            5.      On this day in 1906 the  Atlanta Race Riot that started on September 22nd came to end/Started by false claims of black rapes of white women would into the streets mobs of whites send/Attacking blacks in their homes of in the streets/96 blacks injured and 26 and the hands of white mobs would death meet/A sad stain on this nation’s history that most of us now hope will never repeat/Racism especially when violent should never at the table of mankind be allowed a seat.
Quotes of the 1906 Atlanta Race Riot
Democratic Atlanta Mayor James Woodward: “The best way to prevent a race riot depends entirely upon the cause. If your inquiry has anything to do with the present situation in Atlanta then I would say the only remedy is to remove the cause. As long as the black brutes assault our white women, just so long will they be unceremoniously dealt with.”
            Fulton County Grand Jury:“ Believing that the sensational manner in which the afternoon newspapers of Atlanta have presented to the people the news of the various criminal acts recently committed in this county has largely influenced the creation of the spirit animating the mob of last Saturday night; and that the editorial utterances of The Atlanta News for some time past have been calculated to create a disregard for the proper administration of the law and to promote the organization of citizens to act outside of the law in the punishment of crime;
...Resolved, That the sensationalism of the afternoon papers in the presentation of the criminal news to the public prior to the riots of Saturday night... deserves our severest condemnation...”

Outrage over Standing Ovation for 98 Year Old Veteran of the 1st Galacian Division in Canadian Parliament Before Zelensky's Speech

My mother was a Canadian who emigrated here early in the World War II
Her two brothers served in Canada’s army and they fought the Germans and staying alive made it through
All three of them proud to be Canadian would be rolling in their graves
Two uncles who fought the Germans and a nurse who a naval hospital fought to patients save
That a member of the Waffen SS whose fellow members in France killed Canadian prisoners who had surrendered
And in the East butchered Jews so frequently that today their war crimes are still remembered
The 1st Galician Division was raised to fight the Soviets who before the war had starved millions of Ukrainians to death
Though formed as an SS Division it should not be compared to other SS Divisions guilty of war crimes in the same breath
Know not Yaroslav Hunka’s war record or that of his division on the Eastern Front against the Russian Bear
Only know he was vetted extensively before being allowed to in Canada immigrate there.
Before Jewish organizations lump the 1st Galician Division with the atrocities of other divisions of the SS
It would do well to remember at Bitburg Reagan’s honoring those buried there including the SS in his address.

Alarm Bells Should be ringing loud, long and clear at the DNC as Blue Mayors are Attacking Biden for the Waves of illegal aliens and gn

When Blue mayors start complaining that the tsunami of illegals is destroying their cities
And Biden and the feckless useless Border Czar has abandoned them without compassion or pity
The alarm bells at the DNC should be ringing loud, long and clear
The invasion of drugs and bogus asylum seekers will voters wanting to vote Red steer
Lifetime Blue voters seeing their towns over run with illegals who will city treasuries bankrupt
Are seething with anger that soon will at the voting booth in Blue rejection erupt
Biden if he wants any chance to remain in office to all asylum seekers he should the border close
Asylum should never be granted solely because the seeker is in poverty and suffering from economic woes
Main reason why the immigration judges’ backlogs continues to grow
Faster than cases can be resolved more on more bogus asylum claims are added to inflow
Making that an acceptable criteria would mean at least 1-2 billion clamoring to get here
Causing our quality of life and economic prosperity to quickly disappear
On this issue Biden can only put his head in the sand
Surfacing only long enough to blame Reds for not joining the Immigration Reform band
Biden is clueless of the resentment and anger of mere mortals on the border invasion
Just as he is oblivious that Bidenomics is a total failure despite his and the MSM’s otherwise persuasions

September 23, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the government shutdown front another day closer to a government shutdown a midnight October 1, if the House cannot get rebels like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Green to compromise  and get their  act together on the Red side of the aisle and pass 12 funding bills Time to for all Americans concerned about the economic and social effects of a shutdown to contact their Congressional representative and tell them in no uncertain terms to compromise and come to a deal to keep the government however bloated and wasteful it has become in business. When Americans suddenly have their benefits cut and services curtailed they will see the Freedom Caucus as a bunch zealots unwilling to compromise wearing Togas and playing fiddles as the Capitol figuratively burns to the ground.
On the transgender front, Blue Governor Gavin Newsom showed that despite past liberal behavior he is capable of doing the right thing when he vetoed a bill passed by the Blue supermajority legislature that would have required in custody battles parents seeking custody affirm their child’s perceived identity. The $64 question is will the supermajority legislature seek to override the veto to drive another nail in the left’s despised parental rights coffin?
On the anti-aging front, Bryan Johnson, a high tech entrepreneur who founded Braintree and sold it to PayPal, is the new Ponce de Leon seeking the fountain of youth not in the Florida swamps but in the 111 pills taken daily, vegetarian diet, in bed by 8:30, measuring his erections while sleeping and eating dinner at 11:30 A.M. and who now claims at 46 he has the bones of a 30 year old and the heart of a 37 year old but has little or no time for a social or personal life (If he should with his focus live into his 110’s or 120’s he will be even lonelier as his acquaintances and associates and his 3 children will have long ago gone to their graves.
On the political corruption crime front in New Jersey, at least a dozen prominent New Jersey and national Blues are demanding that Senator Menendez immediately resign as Governor Murphy claimed that although he is innocent until proven guilty, with this criminal indictment he cannot properly represent the people of New Jersey who deserve better. The Senator is defiantly refusing but do not be surprised if like in the case of disgraced Senator Al Franken, the number of Blues trying to show that they are also a party that believes in the rule law increases and the cries become more vehement (fortunately for the Blues, his resignation would not affect the balance in the Senate as Murphy who is a Blue would appoint a fellow Blue.
On the crime front, Robert Murdaugh who has pled guilty to federal charges of bank fraud, wire fraud and money laundering, on his appeal for a new trial may have a strong case due to alleged jury trafficking by a court clerk pursuing a book deal and the fact that the jury was exposed to 3 weeks of testimony not in any way related to the murders but on his financial crimes. Whether he is successful or not and if granted whether the same verdict will be reached, at age 55 and with only a 46 month sentence for his federal crimes he could be a free man at age 60 if successful or if not die in prison.
On the criminal lack of smarts front, the Denver police have issued an arrest warrant for Keanna Rosenburgh and her face now graces a reward poster of up to $2,000 for information leading to her arrest. Unless she has dyed and cut her hair and started wearing glasses and going on a crash diet to lose facial weight, someone should recognize and since money often trumps friendship, a friend may be informing on her whereabouts if she is still in the Denver area or still in  Colorado.
On the carjacking front and why you may need to be packing when driving even if pulling up to your own driveway, at a  Minnetonka City Council meeting council meeting angry and fearful residents vented their frustration of a carjacking and assault of Kelly Beason and her 13 year old son as they pulled into their driveway. Fortunately no one was seriously injured but the 13 year is still traumatized and one perpetrator has been arrested although the jury is out whether the D.A. of  Hennepin County,  Mary Moriarty, who identifies herself as a “progressive D.A.” will prosecute to seek prison terms as opposed to probation (could not find out whether her successful campaign was financed by George Soros but it would not come as a surprise).
On the reptilian brain front which resides on both aisles of politics, Melody Duncan, the wife since 1988 of Red House member Jeff Duncan who touts himself as “strong advocate for life and family values” has just filed for divorce claiming her soon to be ex-husband is in an extramarital relationship and has admitted to having several over the years.
On Biden’s continuing mental and physical decline front, Sharon Sweda, the leader of the Blues in Lorain County, Ohio has weighed in that Biden “is in a period of his life where passing and death is imminent.” Without any primary debates likely between Biden and RFK, Jr. the DNC will be able to conceal his mental and physical infirmities so despite significant objections to his candidacy, he will be nominated and if he strokes, dies or has a McConnel moment before the election the Blues will be in a world of hurt, the same position Reds will find themselves in with Trump being nominated and a guilty verdict being handed down prior to the election. Not sure the cost, but the Blues should have a plan B to qualify in all 50 states 1 or more candidates so they would appear on the ballot if Biden had to drop out or died.
On the strike front, the Writers Guild Association and the studios ended their 3rd day of talks without a deal but talks resumed Saturday to try to end the strike that started on May 2nd. On the UAW strike front, the strike has now expanded to all 38 parts distribution centers at GM and Stellantis and Biden has announced he will be heading  to a picket line to show solidarity with UAW strikers but as Trump wisely pointed out Biden’s push to accelerate EV production faster than the infrastructure will make usage and recharging problematical and require far less workers to assemble an EV as opposed to a fossil fuel powered car.
On the weather front, Tropical Storm Ophelia has made landfall in North Carolina bringing with it near hurricane force winds, massive rainfall, 70,000 residents without power and 4 NFL games in storm’s path to be hit with massive rainfall and diminished stadium attendance unless in a luxury sky box.

Noted Holidays: Teal Talk Day: Created by Ovarcome, an ovarian cancer foundation, on this day in 2017 to promote awareness of the ovarian cancer that will affect close to 20,000 women this year and cause more than 13,000 deaths and raise funds to find a cure.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is  “auto-da-fe” which means burning to death at the stake a heretic, a common practice during the Inquisition which gave Catholicism a very bad reputation.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1983 was “Dreamlover” by Mariah Carey on a run of 8 weeks to share number 1 status with 10 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 6 acts achieved  number one status for the first time.  Here is a video recording with lyrics of Mariah Carey performing  “Dreamlover”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqBtS6BIP1E                               September 23 Birthdays: “Vlogging to Fame and Fortune”—Lloyd Cadena, born on this day in 1993 in Parañaque, Philippines to become a noted and successful vlogger in the Philippines with 5.88 million subscribers but who On September 1, 2020 was hospitalized with a high fever and dry cough to be diagnosed with COVID-19 and die from a heart attack on September 4, 2020.                                     September 23  Historical Events in Rhyme

              2.     On this day in 2004 Hurricane a CAT 3/Did not make landfall on the Coast of Haiti/But massive rains triggering deadly mudslides its residents would see/After it moved and left Haiti over 3000 bodies would be found after its killing spree.

Quote on  the Colorado Coalfield War by Teddy Roosevelt in a letter to Rep. Edward P.Costigan: “Whenever trouble arose between the workingmen and the employers, whenever the miners began to organize to support or enforce demands for improved conditions, the State, whether in control of a Republican or Democratic

administration, thereupon surrendered its right and duty to enforce the law and maintain order. It turned over this right and duty to the mining companies, themselves, who thereupon imported into the State or organized within the State crews of gunmen and of private detectives and the like, organized them as guards round their property and prepared for open warfare which such actions inevitably precipitated. Many of these special deputies and detectives were excellent men; but this has no more to do with the case than has the fact that many of the riotous striker were also excellent men. The point is that the State recognized in the contestants the right of private war.
