September 1, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Random Acts Of Kindness Day (International)

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For September 1, 2016 Only 68 waning days to go for Trump to pivot before we elect a new president and 269 days since hiding Hillary has held a formal press conference (where is the outrage of the press as she refuses to answer any questions from the press; what is this candidate trying to hide?); after meeting with the president of Mexico and holding a joint press conference with him, looking very presidential, Trump returned to Phoenix to give his long awaited immigration speech affirming the need to secure our borders with Mexico to prevent the flow of drugs and illegal aliens from crossing the border which Hillary wants to in essence open to any and all; he rejected the idea of amnesty, not deporting anyone who has been arrested for criminal conduct, sanctuary cities and not having e-verify systems in place; since the root of the illegal alien problem is economic it was refreshing to see Rudi in a hat with the logo “Make Mexico Great Again Also”; Hillary’s foreign policy speech which took second fiddle to the day’s events called on America to lead which she and Obama have completely failed to do; newly discovered emails not turned over to State include 30 on Benghazi which State is trying to slow walk their release; the pay for play scandal at the Clinton scandal continues to grow and questions of the Foundation being engaged in money laundering also continuing to grow; Clinton’s lead over Trump has evaporated to a statistical dead heat; on the weather front Hurricane Madeline approaching Hawaii has been downgraded to a tropical storm and tropical storm Hermine has formed in the Gulf of Mexico putting the coast of Florida on hurricane watch as tens of thousands of flooding victims in Louisiana are praying that its storm track does not soak the state; New York Administration of Child Services is investigating Weiner’s fitness as a parent due to sexting scandal; and the Brazilian Senate has convicted by a three to one margin Brazilian President Rousseff of impeachment.
As Trump is trying to become more presidential, going to www.lyingcrookedhillary.com is a great way to start your day along of course with www.alaskanpoet.blogspot.com and reading Clinton Cash would be a great read to understand the quid pro quo mentality of the Clintons.

Bias Alert Kaepernick

In the 60's as anger at colleges against the Vietnam War surged over the land like a rising tide
If a college man wanted to up the odds of getting laid, on his political views usually lied
If a liberated young woman, you wanted to take to bed
You would never admit to being on the right, admit to being a closet Red
Old impressions die slowly and are hard to put to rest
As Kaepernick's behavior on the National Anthem would seem to suggest
His new found political activism and support for BLM
From a relationship from an activist Diab seems to stem
He has been subject to attack but many have rushed to his side to defend
After all, police targeting of men of color is a practice if true all would want to end
But the sounds of silence from the mainstream press
Quickly ignored other statements he expressed
He faulted her use of “super predators” and her deletion of emails
Reminding us that if any of us mere mortals had done the same, we all would be in jail
Google that concept and you will find that such mainstream reporting does not exist
Trump yes in spades on racism, but for Hillary media bias impossible to resist

Trump Scores Big With Joint Press Conference In Mexico

At the beginning of the day, the score was 16-zip
Now it’s 17-0 as Trump has a joint press conference in Mexico seen as presidential not shooting from the hip
While Hillary continues to from press conferences hide
No wonder her support is like the ebbing tide
In Ohio before the American Legion to give a major foreign policy speech
To brand Trump as a loose cannon for once in a calm tone instead of her annoying screech
Promising she would never attack a family with a Gold Star
Yet lying with it’s a video to the families who lost their sons at Benghazi and the truth of a terror attack debar
If you listened carefully to her word carefully Obama’s record and her record she seemed to condemn
America must lead even though military action should be a last resort which is Obama’s failure and where the chaos of radical Islam stems
We have not be led under Obama from the front or behind or on the side and her attempt to do so in Libya has been an unmitigated disaster
This is a tired, deceptive woman with judgment on our security and pay to play warranting her to be put to pasture
We found today in another email scandal news clip
She was sending classified material for two months after leaving—no wonder her support slips
Another news clip upon 30 more mails on Benghazi that she tried to conceal
State order to release them trying to protect their jobs by dragging their heals
Nationally she now is in a statistical dead heat as to unlike ability and votes
Thank God her once vaunted coronation seems more and more remote
With each day another email scandal drip
Her chance of winning further slips

Le Sage Will Stay And No Longer Speak To The Press

In a déjà vu moment with a frustrated, losing Dick Nixon lashing out at the press
“You won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around to your readers impress”
Now over 50 years later it’s Governor Paul Le Sage
After a profanity laden phone voicemail rage
Against a Blue member of the Senate in Maine
Made a vow to always from speaking to the press in the future refrain
Any communications with the press be written words on a page
Never again to orally with the press engage
And despite growing demands that he resign for his profanity laden rant
He will not but apologized for any abuse to Gittine and his family and wished the choice of words he could recant
Just another example that when it comes to politics, civility is coming to a dead end
Too much government money sloshing around to change this disturbing trend
The Reds and Blues seem to have lost the use of their ears
Filtering out that which they disagree with and don’t want to hear
Blame, shame, sermonize, and demonize
No wonder we are deadlocked and cannot seem to compromise

Trump Off To Mexico To Meet With Nieto

This is a campaign that has broken all rules that used to be the norm
Just when you think that Hillary is scoring points with her ads that Trump is a loose cannon who does not conform
He suddenly is looking more presidential and a rise in polls seems to be reborn
He flies off to Mexico to meet with its president to discuss immigration reform
A private meeting with most likely no press in the room to questions ask
Trump in art of the deal form negotiating to overcome Latino rejection, a daunting task
While Hillary was raising millions from Wall Street friends and Obama as usual in time of crisis was on the links
Trump flew to Louisiana to create awareness of the flood victim’s plight and help unload food and water to drink
When it comes to transparency, Trump’s house is made of glass
While in Hillary’s house the windows are made of lead that no voter can see past
Trump leads Clinton in formal press conferences 16-0 in 2016
While Hillary in front of the press is never seen
Among registered voters the only ones who, unless the election is hacked, really count
Hillary’s unfavorabilty ratings continue to rise to 60 percent as her email credibility problems continue to mount
The email scandal is something that no matter what she says or does she cannot shake
Another drip today that 30 more emails pertaining to Benghazi were illegally not turned over to State
If Trump stays on message and on immigration makes a simple case to explain
Build a wall, end Sanctuary Cities and deport the felons, Hillary’s path to the White House will go down the drain

Love Litigating Lawyers Huh

On Love Litigating Lawyers' Day
Dick the Butcher was right
As long as there is money in the retainer a lawyer will fight
How much more do we have to pay because of a lawyer's greedy bite?
How many of us suffer from a lawyer's might
We don't need a rise in the minimum wages
But a cap on lawyers' deposition pages
Litigating lawyers we should not celebrate
Rather we need to them detest and berate
The world needs less lawyers, less parasites
More poets to give litigators their last rites

August 31, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not We Love Memoirs Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For August 31, 2016 Only 69 waning days to go for Trump to pivot before we elect a new president and 268 days since hiding Hillary has held a formal press conference (where is the outrage of the press as she refuses to answer any questions from the press; what is this candidate trying to hide?); in the scandal that will not recede, the FBI whose integrity has been damaged by its refusal to recommend prosecution of HRC will be turning over its HRC interview notes as we await with baited breath the answers under penalty of perjury (which hasn’t deterred her in the past) to questions from Judicial Watch to be given by September 30; in an interesting development Trump will be meeting with the President Nieto of Mexico; McCain, Rubio and unfortunately rabid ideologue Debbie Wasserman Schulz won their primaries last night; September 26 and the first presidential debate is rapidly approaching; on the sports front Lochte has picked up another sponsor, Hope Solo has been terminated from U.S. Women’s Soccer for six months and Kaepernick is really taking heat for his refusal to stand for the national anthem (his newly discovered political awareness stems from dating BLM activist Nessa Diab); on the weather front, Hawaii is facing two side by side hurricanes; Florida is bracing for massive rainfall and in a what global warming moment, Colorado Springs has been buried under two feet of hail.

1. August 30, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Day Of The Disappeared

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For August 30, 2016 Only 70 waning days to go for Trump to pivot before we elect a new president and 267 days since hiding Hillary has held a formal press conference (where is the outrage of the press as she refuses to answer any questions from the press; what is this candidate trying to hide?); as the rhetoric on both sides escalates (Mika Brzezinski on Morning Joe should be fired for her insane observations that Trump should be examined by mental health professionals and David Plouffe a lackey for Obama should never be allowed on MSNBC again for alleging without any medical grounding that Trump is a psychopath) , more and more emails released show HRC knew her email server was not secure; in a chilling reminder of the barbarism of radical Islam, mass graves being uncovered on territory liberated from ISIS (when will this president condemn radical Islam); Kaepernick is being condemned for his refusal to stand and the NFL is once again exposed for hypocrisy for its banning of Dallas football players who want to display helmet decals supporting the Dallas Police after five were gunned down; after the U.S. has admitted 10,000 Syrian refugees most of whom have not been vetted, Britain is reviewing its policy and may restrict the influx of unvetted Muslims that ISIS has vowed to infiltrate; in a we want a bigger bite out of the Apple, the EU is seeking billions of taxes from Apple; on the immigration front here is the photo of an illegal alien from Honduras bus driver with no drivers license who killed two people and injured 30 (gives you an idea of why a secure border might have appeal)

So Much For Safety Numbers

I suspect the wolves are predators of reindeer
But until today I never knew they had also lightning to fear
If a fish safety in numbers is why we see large schools
Making it easier for the nearest incoming predator to fool
Musk Ox when confronted by a roving wolf pack
Form a circle of horns facing outward to ward off an expected attack attack
Reindeer in Norway were enduring a thunder storm huddled together in a false  security sense
Belted by rain that from an angry sky that must have been intense
Maybe reindeer antlers are like lightning rods made of steel
Standing on the wet ground in the open would make it harder for lightning strikes to repeal
Out of the dark and stormy sky one or more bolts of lightning this reached down from the sky
In a instant more than 300 reindeer quickly died

Will Election Be Rigged By Russian Hackers?

We are not a patient nation; we don’t want to save up for the purchase price of our adult toys
We want the new car, new boat, new home, leather couch now not later to enjoy
We want the meds to work immediately and often to cure our ills
If one works, better to take twice the pain killing pills
The only thing or actions that we avoid like the plague and do not want to have now
Is to save for retirement believing we can solve the nest egg needs in the future somehow
We are truly a nation obsessed in the pursuit of instant gratification
But in desire for speed of results we may have lost safety in our upcoming elections
Voting fraud in America over our history is nothing new
How with Daley’s iron grip in 1960 he handed Illinois over to the Blues
A Daley motto of vote early and vote often even if you had died
To no surprise in the Daley wards, Nixon’s election was denied
But then fraud took a lot of effort a lot of persons casting paper ballots that were counted by hand
What was on the ballot even if the vote was cast by a person dead would stand
Now in the era of computer voting with instant counting you only need one person to an election computer hack
To alter voting with a few clicks to snatch victory from the real victor, then with more clicks, cover up your tracks
Already we have seen the DNC’s computers by the Russians breached
Two state voting computers have also been proven by the FBI to be within the hackers’ reach
Many voters thought Trump was off the wall and becoming unhinged when he claimed the only way he could lose
Would be if the election were rigged by hackers changing for whom the voters would choose
Scary thought but knowing Putin I would not bet that we will not see cyber fraud
What do we expect when we are not longer feared and respected abroad?

August 29, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Day Against Nuclear Tests

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For August 29, 2016 Only 71 waning days to go for Trump to pivot before we elect a new president and 266 days since Hillary has held a formal press conference (where is the outrage of the press as she refuses to answer any questions from the press); on a leopard can’t change his spots note, pervert Anthony Weiner caught again in a testing scandal (finally his wife Huma Abedin will no longer emulate her boss and has separated from this pervert); on the political bias reporting front CNN blasted AP for publishing its report that over half of people representing private interests contributed $156 million to the Clinton foundation and received private meetings with her; while HRC cowers in her hide from the press bunker, Trump will be going to Detroit to reach out to African Americans and has unleashed a $10 Million ad buy; in yet another example of why illegal immigration is an issue, an illegal alien from Honduras without a driver’s license driving a bus of good Samaritan volunteers to help with flood recovery in Louisiana lost control and killed two people and injured more than 30 others; in  a bad day for reindeer in Norway, news that lightening strikes have killed over 300 reindeer at a Norwegian National Park; on the sports front 49er quarterback Kaepernick who has lost his starting job, defended his refusal to stand for the National Anthem on the grounds of police brutality against people of color(since the team was unable to trade him, safe bet is that he will be released).

1. International Day Against Nuclear Tests—created by unanimous resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2009 to protest against nuclear testing and advance the cause of a nuclear weapons free world (doubt that Iran and North Korea voted in favor). August 29 was chosen as the date to celebrate since on that date in 1991 the Soviet’s Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Facility was closed down.
2. National Swiss Wine Growers Day—celebrating in a could have fooled me moment viniculture in Switzerland that has been producing wine since the Roman era despite all its mountains and glaciers.
3. 1986 Number One Song—celebrating the number one song in 1986 on a brief run of one week in that position “Higher Love” by Steve Winword. Here is a link to Steve Winword performing the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwuHtbcvTh8
4. National Chop Suey Day—celebrating a Chinese dish that originated in China, not the gold fields of California or the transcontinental railroad work camps; the name means assorted pieces of meat and vegetables served over rice or to become chow mein, served over noodles—fire up you wok and enjoy.
5. Can’t Beat Drugs—celebrating the birth on this day in 1958 of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, one of the most successful recording artists of all time who sadly died way too early just as he was preparing his comeback tour from massive and prolonged doses of prescription drugs at the age of 51. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym0hZG-zNOk
On this day in:
a. 1758 in a read the handwriting on the wall moment, the first American Indian Reservation consisting of 3284 acres was established at Indian Mills, New Jersey; the community of Delaware Indians settled there were soon relocated to out of sight out of mind Western reservations.
b. 1831 Michael Faraday discovered the principle of electromagnetic induction, the creation of electro motor forces due to the interaction with a magnetic field.
c. 1949 thanks to the efforts of espionage to steal American nuclear weapons technology, the Soviet Union detonated its first atomic weapon at Semipalatinsk which was closed down in 1991 due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
d. 2005 Hurricane Katrina slammed the U.S. Gulf Coast and New Orleans killing almost 1900 people and causing over $100 billion in damages and exposed the inadequacies of FEMA to handle a crisis of such magnitude.
e. 2007 in a real oops moment six cruise missiles with nuclear warheads without authorization were loaded onto a bomber and flown from Minot Air Force Base to Barksdale Air Force Base.
Reflections on security in the nuclear weapons world: “ While it may be theoretically possible to demonstrate the risks inherent in any treaty… the far greater risk to our security are the risks of unrestricted testing, the risks of a nuclear arms race, the risks of new nuclear powers….“We will not prematurely or unnecessarily risk the costs of worldwide nuclear war in which even the fruits of victory would be ashes in our mouth.” John F. Rascists Anonymous? Why Not?

Despite all the progress that has in the country on race has been made
Hard to ignore that racism still exists in varying shades
We can pass more laws than angels on a pin
But in the end the appeal of racist thoughts may still win
The hearts of men too often change stubbornly resist
An insight on why racism in our society may still exist
The blatant acts of discrimination in housing, jobs and accommodations have been largely stamped out
But subtle forms of racism in the quality of inner city schools mark education as a far travelled path to jail route
Too many blacks end up in jail and racial profiling still persist
Driving while black or brown is still a crime that lingers and still exists.
We have 12 step programs for alcoholics, addicts, overeaters, gamblers and those who are obsessed with sex
Complete with a program patterned after AA and with many a pamphlet with life saving text
Pastor J. Nathan King on the issue of racism wants to a Racists Anonymous as a solution bring
An idea that has merit and involves a belief in a higher power to take on racism’s sting
Like the alcoholic who must first admit he is powerless over alcohol and that his life has become unmanageable
A racist would have to admit he is powerless over racism and that he finds his acts have become intolerable
Can’t do it alone without spiritual help and a higher power
Might well work and begin to chip away at the racism that over many still towers
This is an idea that churches should support
Time to try it as we have made little progress since the Kerner Report
Kudos to Pastor King for starting the first RA
Growing a movement to end the racism far too many unseen in their souls display
