How we are able to pay for things or services we buy
Each year is different to see how we can comply
In some venues like Stanford Stadium cash may be king
But if you want to suck on a soft drink or snacks to munch
credit/debit cards you must bring
At Target Stores only two forms of payment will hit the
checkout bullseye
Credit/debit cards or cash but a personal check will be
denied
Thieves looking buy with bogus or bounced checks are out of
luck
Retailers must be relieved to be with insufficient funds paper
checks stuck
Retailers are facing a massive “inventory shrinkage wave”
One two punches of undetected five fingered discounts or smash
and grab robberies that are the new crime act to rave
Shopping is more and more looking like a trip back in a time
zone
Where goods were placed behind the counter secure from theft
until purchased and taken home
Pioneers like Woolworth’s changed the face of retail
Now with the growth of shop lifting displayed on locked
shelves for shoplifting to fail
But until retailers come up with shatter proof glass easy
with hammers to break
Retailers face hordes of smash and grabbers who in a few
minutes entire inventory of expensive goods they take
As long a soft on crime legislators do not aggregate the taken
into felonies to be sought
Our chances of putting smash robbers into prison will go for
naught
