Many felons when indicted and then tried
After being acquitted from future criminal activity shied
But felons who hold political office in D.C. are a different
breed
If indicted, tried and acquitted following an noncriminal
path doesn’t succeed
Too often they view themselves above the law believing they
will never be caught
And if by chance criminal charges against them are sought
They believe their political power will cause charges to go
for naught
Senator Menendez beat a federal rap 6 years ago and any
lessons learned he quickly forgot
Using his political power in exchange for cash and high
priced cars
And even pounds of pure gold bars
To enable his bribers to obtain lucrative contacts and
market shares
For certain Senator Menendez’s ethical and moral cupboard
remained bare
A jury after 3 days convicted him on 16 counts of bribery and he
will be sentenced on October 29
He faces up to 200
years in prison to be confined
To add salt to the wounds of Justice inflicted by this now guilty
felon
He refuses to resign from the Senate inflicting on his
constituents be hell on
Sadly removing him from the Senate floor
New Jersey’s Blue governor will name another Blue so Blue majority
remains as before
