The Director of the Secret Service before a House Committee
on Trump’s assassination attempt testified
Kimberley Cheatle was met with firestorm of hostile
questions and claims yet requests to resign she denied
Admitted that the Selective Service failed in its mission to
a presidential candidate protect
But accountability by firing those responsible she seemed to
reject
For once a hearing had both sides of the aisle not bickering
at each other
But after acknowledging the bravery of the agents who rushed
to with their bodies Trump smother
With only Blue Raskin digressing to deviate from the Committee’s investigation
goals
To sound the call for more gun control as mass shootings
take their toll
To castigate her for failing to sweep the roof where the
shooter was seen climbing up
Reported by spectators and police minutes before the shots would
erupt
Or when a suspicious person with a range finder was reported
he was not detained and cuffed
With a perceived threat on the rally grounds
Why Trump was allowed to go on stage before the threat was
found?
A House member to her pointed out that when Reagan was shot
coming out of a hotel in D.C.
The then director of the Service, a Red, tendered his
resignation very quickly
Cheatle’s answers and her performance before and after the
assassination event were best summed up by Representative Mace
“That’s Bull Shit” which was a perfect description of her
performance and testimony disgrace
Sadly in the Biden Administration the quest for DEI reigns
And meritocracy and accountability are flushed down the
drain
