If we are wondering why American business is moaning on how
hard to jobs fill each and every day
Could it be that save for executives to pamper with stock
options and 401(k)s
Concern for worker skill development and reward for performance
and loyalty is rarely on display
Not respected as a member of a team only a cog to put in 8
hours each day
Even ideas in suggestion boxes on how to improve service or
products probably crumpled and thrown away
Our public company CEOs work long and hard hours to insure
their companies succeed
But sadly in this damning statistic the U.S. companies lead
The gap between the CEO’s comp and the average worker’s
salary is in the stratosphere
Regardless of whether for the fiscal year meeting target goals appear
The disparity and stone deaf to workers concerns was
displayed in spades
Kevin Ford a chef at Burger King posted on a Tik Tok video a
plastic bag with appreciation for 27 years of service never missing a day
displayed
Gifts from his
employer that included a movie ticket, candy, pens, keychains, a Starbucks cup
and other items of little cost
Any real
appreciation for his devotion with the trinkets was clearly lost
Thank God we are
a generous nation and hypocrisy from Whoppers despise
Viewers seeing the plastic bag with a GoFundMe Account growing to 408 grand to
his surprise
His Burger King
employer is not worthy of this man’s loyal and dedicated employment
Hope to a more
grateful employer he soon went
