The death count
in Maui has risen to 101 with 27-32% of the burn area searched for bodies and
thank God the indictments against Trump still stand at 4 with the latest in Georgia
requiring Trump and the 18 others indicted to appear by August 25 before Atlanta
police to be booked. Judge
Juan Merchan, the Georgia judge overseeing the Trump case in Georgia is
taking heat for contributing $15 to Biden’s election campaign and $10 to a Stop
Republicans fund raising group and who has refused to recuse himself. A WAPO
liberal journalist has raised the issue of the indictments being a case of “piling”
on noting that 6 additional states could follow Georgia’s lead making it even
more difficult than it already is to campaign in the primaries and in the
general election if nominated. Trump’s legal team is demanding the Georgia
trial be postponed until after the November 2024 elections which given the
complexity of the charges and the number of defendants may be the result
anyway. Vitec Ramaswamy’s rendition of Eminem’s rap song “Lose Yourself” at the
Iowa State Fair has gone viral along with his reasoned response to a LBGTQ+ activist
who had attacked his position that was memorable as he excoriated the tyranny
of the minority wanting to force their lifestyle on others and especially
children (he has been rising in the polls now in 3rd place but still
in single digits). The LAPD Union representing its officers is blaming the
cashless bail policy reinstated in May of this year for the recent outbreak of smash and grab robberies at high end
department stores. Florida health officials have raised the alarm of the rise of
the deadly Dengue Fever which is borne by mosquitoes which has been spreading. Crime has become so
bad in Feces City that workers for DHS are being told to “Telework” as much as
possible to avoid become victims around the 18 story Federal Building where
they work. In another example of the risk involved in being a police officer,
Middleton, Connecticut police office Karli Travis, responding to a disturbance
call was attacked by 53 year old Winston Tate with a hammer that he refused to
put down and came charging forward hitting her as she drew her handgun to shoot
him several times. He was arrested and taken to the hospital and charged with
assault and a multiple of charges with a $500,000 bond and the officer was
hospitalized and released from minor injuries. In another example of the impact
of rising crime on retailers, the city council in Hammond, Indiana located some
25 miles from Chicago has passed a resolution requiring service stations to close
between midnight and 5:00 A.M. In World Cup action today Spain beat Sweden to advance
to the finals on Sunday against the winner of the game between Australia and England
to be played tomorrow at 3:00 A.M. PDT. On the transgender sports front Anne
Andres, a transgender woman born as a biological male won the Canadian Women’s Power
Lifting Championship by lifting 200 kilograms more than the second place woman,
making a mockery of the women’s contest.

15 Birthdays: “Bullets Do Have A Name.” Ermias Asghedom, better known to
his fans as Nipsey Hussle: Born on
this day in 1989 in Los Angeles who was a rapper best known for his mixtapes “Bullets
Ain’t Got No Name” and who had received an Emmy nomination in 2019 for his
first album Victory Lap. Unfortunately a bullet did have his name on it
as 29 year old Eric Holder who had confronted him earlier on March 31, 2019
returned 10 minutes later to shoot him to death outside his Marathon Clothing
Store; fortunately he was quickly caught, found guilty and sentenced to 60
years to life in prison where he now rots and will die there of natural causes
or by the hands other inmates.

Famous Quote on the Afghan Withdrawal by Representative
Marjorie Taylor Greene: “In Afghanistan, Biden's woke generals
tucked their tail and ran. He dishonored the sacrifices made by every American
soldier who fought in the 20-year war, especially those who gave their life for
the cause. ”
