Biden's Alcohol Czar Is Leaning to Aping Canada to Recommend Men Only Drink 2 Alcoholic Drinks a Week

 

Reagan’s view of the government’s view of the economy hit the nail on its head
“If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”
The left’s view of the economy tracts that Reagan quote but more control it has not shed
In Biden’s view “If people enjoy, tax it. If people still enjoy, regulate it. If not in their best interests though enjoyed make them quit
It seems like only yesterday to the diabetes and obesity dragon to slay
Mayor Bloomberg limited the size of sugary sodas to 16 ounce cups
Residents of the Big Apple were outraged a mayor would take their Big Gulps away
The courts stepped in and ruled NYC Board of Health had exceeded its authority before sugar craving riots could erupt
When it comes to regulating behavior the left’s memory is way too short
Must have forgotten the ill-fated Prohibition experiment
Where thirsty Americans to bootleg spirits by the millions would resort
While from the likes of Capone millions of dollars in bribes were to pols and cops sent
Now Biden’s alcohol czar George Koob of the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
Is leaning toward recommendations that will limit men to two alcohol drinks a week
Which should lead to between the elite out of touch and the mere mortals further schism
Only a recommendation now but never underestimate the goal of government to further control seek
At a time due to COVID past shutdowns and limitations on the number of people in restaurants and bars
The industry is slowly back to pre-pandemic levels starting to rally
But the business lost means the road to wealth recovery is still very far
And any move to limit drinks to 2 a week will only add to the failed restaurants and bars tally.
