May 15, 2020 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Police Officers Memorial Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For May 15, 2020 The CV pandemic across the planet continues with 118,291  new cases  (a 2.63 %  increase compared to a 2.09% increase yesterday) to bring the total to 4,609,249  cases, 2,559,301  of  which  are active, 2,049,948  of which have been closed with 1,742,455  recoveries (85% compared to  yesterday’s 84.86%) and 307,493  deaths (15% compared to yesterday’s 15.14%); in the U.S. which has the dubious distinction of leading the world in total cases with new cases of 39,308  have brought total cases to 1,480,353 (a 2.73% increase compared to yesterday’s 1.45% increase)  with 1,071,070  active cases and 409,283  closures, 88,298 of which have been deaths (21.57% compared to  yesterday’s 21.63%) and 320,985 of which  have been recoveries (78.43% compared to yesterday’s 78.37%) while total testing has increased to 10,971,663 an increase of 398,350  from yesterday; Pelosi’s $3 trillion “stimulus” loaded with goodies like payments to illegals and end of deportation to illegals doing essential work and bailouts to state and local governments with bloated unfunded pension liabilities which must have been drafted between scoops of gourmet ice cream with no input from Reds or the Trump Administration is being voted on with several Blues elected from swing districts reading the tea leaves in the fall voting against it (Pelosi has tossed the word bipartisan from her dictionary is acting more and more like a Banana Republic dictator); Chris Christie went into the lion’s den of the clueless “The View” to expose TDS and anti Red bias (that host is so misnames as there is not Joy in that biased body  only hate); a silver lining in the pandemic is that it coupled with aggressive Trump policies to keep illegal migrants in Mexico is doing what a Wall could only dream of doing reducing the flood of illegals to a mere trickle as the CBP once swamped with illegals at detention centers is down to just a few hundred; Comey’s corrupted FBI may merit our condemnation but not stupid as they watched HRC destroy thousands of her emails with impunity and now face allegations from former DOJ spokesman Ian Prior that key 302 reports on Flynn were purposely lost; NYC Health Commissioner denying NYPD’s request for masks and saying she couldn’t give “two rats asses” means this idiot must be fired although Di Blasio is too dumb and biased to do the right thing; retail sales are in the tank and J.C. Penney’s has joined the ranks of retailers that have recently filed for bankruptcy; Hidin’ Biden in his basement safe from questions from his MSM lackey supporters had a light bulb moment when he said voters who believe Tara Reade should not vote for him and to distinguish himself from Ford pledged not to pardon Trump if elected (like the allies’ demand for unconditional surrender that kept the Wehrmacht fighting to the bitter end announcement will energize Trump supporters even more and dismay those of us who want to see a ramp down of the rhetoric and bias); Newsom must have had a light bulb moment finally and the Tesla plant in Fremont can stay reopened (lost in the debate over shutdown continuation versus reopening is the simple fact that this economy cannot wait until a vaccine and the short and long term effects of a destroyed economy will be catastrophic from a public health and national security standpoint);  in Chicago, as of May 14, 2020, 920 shootings of whom 168 have died but no one yesterday (so much for the effectiveness of Chicago’s stay at home order); Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population and hoping against all hopes that 2020 will not be a record in terms of deaths remains 60 behind Chicago with 108 murders (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).

3. 2012 Number One Song— the number 1 song in 2012 on this day on a run of 8 weeks in the position not continuous was “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra which was their first number one song and put an end to the rumor that Aussies and Kiwis do not get along well together. Here is a recording of the song:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY.
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “outrecuidance” which means overwhelming arrogance or self esteem which our current and former president seem to possess in spades.
