Magicians
with their sleight of hand can make all things disappear
Then
to the audience’s amazement and enjoyment have them reappear
Through
illusions your eyes are totally deceived
That
which defies the laws of physics one comes to believe
Siegfried
and Horn were magicians at the top of their class
For
many years at Vegas performing magic tricks that would make the audience gasp
For
props instead of women being sawed in half
A
white lion and white tiger were key members of their craft
13
years at appropriately the Mirage named
The
two plied their skill and basked in growing fame
On
one night in 2003 the white tiger chomped on Horn with a vicious bite
Injured
badly but a stroke soon after would move his magician’s skill from sight
Today
the news out of Vegas confirmed that magic is but an illusion and things do not
disappear
Especially
when it is the invisible enemy COVID-19 that in Horn’s 75 year old body chose
to appear
On
April 28 his publicist announced Horn had tested positive but was doing well
Then
quickly on May 8 the churches were ringing mourning bells
Fame
does not protect the elderly in the winter of their years
We
must be all hands on deck to prevent the virus to in their bodies appear.
