Ridley’s
Believe It Or Not January 26, 2021
CV
World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with
surging cases now over 100 million at 100,600,845 with 526,687 new cases (a .53%
increase) 25,893,396 of which are active, 74,707,449 closed with 72,545,983
recoveries (97.11% and 97.11% yesterday) and 2,159,042 deaths (2.89% and 2.89%
yesterday) to continue the trend of increased cases with increased
recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 25 million at 25,908,105 with 173,947 new
cases (a .68%% increase) with 9,863,574 active cases of which 26,235 (.27% of
active cases and a decrease now of 3,036 from a peak of 29,271 on December 31)
are in serious or critical condition, 16,071,531 closures, 432,862 of
which have been deaths (2.69% and 2.71% yesterday) and 15,638,669 of
which have been recoveries (97.31% and 97.29% yesterday). Our death rate
percentage continues to improve and after many months is now .20% lower than
the world rate and .10% lower than Canada which has the socialized type
medicine Biden may well want to implement here and on a deaths per
million population measurement on a steady climb to 1303 ranks behind Belgium
(1791), UK (1471) which had passed us despite leading world in testing), and
Italy (1431) and only slightly worse than Bulgaria (1284), Hungary (1256), Peru (1200), Spain (1215), Mexico (1159),
France (1134), Sweden (1110) that never closed its economy down like we
did but has recently been experiencing a rapid rise in deaths, Portugal (1082-a
54/M increase) Switzerland (1057), Argentina (1035), Brazil (1021), Poland (943), Chile (938), and Bolivia
(854) and we have now conducted 301,552,049 tests (now at 907,601/M)
compared to Russia at 685,071/M) as we are conducting more tests in number and on a per capital
basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations
like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the
U.K. which remains off the testing charts with tests at 1,018,660,410/M. In the
U.S. as of 1/25/2021 23.5 million doses have been given, 1.25 million per day
in the last week. In California 2,437,504 total doses given but typical of
Newsom’s ineptness, California has slightly improved but has dropped back to 48th
out of 50 in the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses
delivered to the state (49.7% only .1% ahead of Rhode Island and only 4.5%
ahead of last place Kansas). A long way to go to get herd immunity but a start
but still a good reason to recall this inept governor.
Non
CV Case News: In a Freudian slip which probably reveals his true thoughts Kevin
de Leon when asked to lead the L.A. Council in the Pledge of Allegiance totally
botched this simple act; in a frightening proof of the adage that democracy
talks but dark money in elections walk the walk, Biden was the beneficiary of
$145 million of “dark money” contributions outspending Trump by more than 5 to
1 while the new hypocrite in chief was railing against “dark money” influence
in our elections; Lauren Wolfe who was rightfully fired for not checking in her
rampant pro Biden anti-Trump bias before going to work at The New York Times is blasting the paper’s account that she was
dismissed for her “chills” up her back tweet (there should never be any
“reprogramming” of people as suggested by the MSM because of their political
views but if there must be advocacy and biased “journalists” of MSM need to be
at the front of the line learning how to be objective); disturbing news coming
out that the Capitol Police knew in
advance that there would be a riot on January 6 but did nothing to prepare for
it (if I were a conspiracy theorist I would argue that their lack of
preparation was a trap to insure a riot that safe money would be on a bet that
Trump was responsible for it and would be grounds to impeach to fulfill the
Blues game plan of never having to face Trump or his influence in a election
ever again); Americans can be breathing easier that Biden’s moratorium on
deportations of illegals which would have effectively handcuffed ICE from
protecting us from violent criminal illegal aliens by deporting them has been
blocked by a federal judge; the leftist MSM will leave no stone unturned in an
effort to smear conservative Reds like Tom Cotton who graduated from Ranger
School and served with the 101st Airborne in Iraq by falsely
claiming he had claimed he had served as a Ranger in Iraq; in another example
of the Biden unity two step, Biden gave credit to Trump for the creation of the
vaccine then quick went two steps back claiming the immunization plans were
worse than expected due in part to Trump’s questioning of the election; the
push for an open border that will destroy minority communities and devastate
the middle class has accelerated ad leftist member of the Squad has introduced
a bill in the House to decriminalize illegal immigration; on the 1 year
anniversary of Lakers Star Kobe Bryant’s death tributes are pouring in from the
entertainment and sports world; Newsom recall gains signatures grow to 1,200,000
with here another news item that should drive voters by the thousands to sign
the recall and get rid of this pompous inept leader as the EDD benefit scandal
now stands at $11 billion with another $20 billion under investigation as
millions of Californians went through hell trying to get the unemployment
benefits they deserved; after being sworn in to preside over the “show
impeachment trial for former President Trump”, 80 year old Patrick Leahy was
taken to the hospital as he did not feel well; Newsom is so arrogant and narcissistic that he
must feel he can do no wrong when he failed to contest the parole hearing of Garada
Zavala a scumbag beyond belief who participated in the torture, sodomy and
killing of a Eric Jones, a young black
in 2001; the recall Gavin Newsom movement continues to gather signatures over
1.2 million and enhanced by his failed policies the latest of which is the
disaster or a vaccine rollout, ranking 45TH in terms of the
percentage of vaccines received actually administered and is fortunately moving
forward to the required goal of 1.5 million signatures. https://recallgavin2020.com/petition/

Number One Song—the
number 1 song in 1993 on this day with a run of 14 weeks in that position (5 of
which started at the end of 1992) was “I’ll Always Love You” by Whitney Houston
to join 10 other number 1 songs. Here is a recording of Whitney Houston singing
“I Will Always Love You.”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JWTaaS7LdU&ab_channel=whitneyhoustonVEVO

5. Best Guitarist
Ever Trumped by Cancer—celebrating
the birthday on this day in 1955 of guitarist Eddie Van Halen considered by
many to be the best rock and roll guitarist of all time but who starting
smoking and drinking at age 12, struggled with alcoholism all his career until
going in for rehab which caused him to become sober only to fall victim to tongue
cancer, then throat cancer and finally struggling with lung cancer when he died
of a stroke on October 6, 2020 at age 65 surrounded by his wife, ex-wife
Valerie Bertinelli, son and brother.
On this day in:
a. 1934 the Apollo Theater

compartment of JAT Flight 367 exploded into three pieces at 33,330 feet
altitude and crashing near Srbská Kamenice, Czechoslovakia, killing 27 of the 28 aboard but not flight
attendant Vesna Vulović who
acquired the dubious distinction of surviving the highest fall without a
parachute and who despite numerous broken bones, temporary paralysis from the waist
down and a coma, lived to the ripe old age of 66, dying on December 23, 2016.
d. 1998 President Clinton
appeared on national television to lie with a straight face that he had had no
sexual relations with “that woman” Monica Lewinsky.

in a helicopter from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport in the fog to his
daughter’s basketball game the helicopter he was riding in crashed 30 miles
from arrival killing all 9 aboard including Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna
Bryant.
Reflections on what
became known as the Lewinsky Scandal that sadly was not the only case of an
uncontrolled Reptilian Brain of our president Clinton: "Where does she go from here? This is a
24-year-old woman. The Clintons will finish their term, receive their pensions,
serve on boards. This will ultimately be a blip in the history of Clinton's
eight-year presidency. Monica is just beginning her life." William
Ginsburg, Monica Lewinsky's attorney, on his fears about her future.
