A Time to Leave in Oregon

None of us are immortal; our short term leases will always come to an end
Faced with pain and suffering what does it take to act when death will soon impend?
When faced with treatment that will not cure only the body and mind to scar
Do we have the right to leave and further pain and loss of joy bar?
Our Canadian neighbors to the North say yes
Under fatal  pain’s great duress
You can say I am ready to leave
The terminal pain I no longer can endure or grieve
