On the shutdown of the government
front, McCarthy pulled the rabbit out of the hat by going hat in hand to seek
Blue approval to get a CR with not budget cuts, no Ukraine military aide and $16
billion for additional disaster relief and the CR passed 335-91 to head to the
Senate which after debate with 3 hours to spare passed the House’s CR 88-9. We now
have until November 17 to have Congress pass a budget to avoid another repeat
of what looks like a completely dysfunctional Congress which seems incapable of
addressing our rapidly increasing national debt which is now 1.2 times our
gross national product.
On the strike front, the
UAW has authorized another 7,000 members at a Ford plant in Chicago and a GM
plant in Lansing, Michigan but Stellantis has been spared due to apparent progress
being made.
On the
Ukraine War front with Reds in the House more and more reluctant to continued
military aide to Ukraine evidenced by the CR Bill which has no funds for
Ukraine, German and French manufacturers have begun to set up plants to manufacture
weapons in Ukraine.
On the political corruption
front thankfully not here in the U.S. but in France, French President Nikolas
Sarkozy has been sentenced to 1 year in prison for campaign finance violations
to have the dubious distinction of being only the second French President in
modern times to be sentenced more than once to prison although he may be
allowed to serve his sentence at home with a monitor.
On the inflation front, the
ability of workers to bring home the bacon has become more difficult than ever
as the prices for bacon have risen some 28% thanks to pandemic buying and meat
processing plants being shut down due to widespread COVID-19 infection during
the pandemic due in part to workers working in close proximity to each other
Justice delayed is said to
be justice denied, but for the family of Tupac Shakur, finally justice delayed
was not denied as Las Vegas police have arrested Duane Davis, aged 60 and a
former gang member for the South Compton Crips, for the 1996 drive by murder of
Tupac Shakur.

starting with “b” “babeldom” which means a confused source of
voices which describes to a tee the sounds from a Republican Primary debate.

Quote on the 747 by Richard Branson the
