On the open Southern Border front,
New York Governor Hochul whom on the open border Reds in her state believe she
is a total yokel finally seems to see that an open border is a disaster for her
state and is urging Congress limit who can come across this border, castigating
those whose only claim is that “I am an asylum seeker” (economic hardship or
poverty cannot be the basis for an asylum claim and comprehensive immigration
reform cannot be approached until the border is secure in fact not in false
statements from the Biden Administration and leftists like Ayanna Presley).
On the NFL front, today the 49’ers
beat the Cardinals 35-16 with McCaffrey amassing 177 total yards, 106 by
rushing and 71 by receiving and scoring 4 touchdowns, 3 by rushing and 1 by
receiving and missed tying the 49’ers’ record of 5 in a game because on the 1
yard line, the coach called a quarterback sneak. The Kansas City Chiefs played
the Jets at home with Taylor Swift with some of her A-List celebs in her luxury
box some rooting for her new flame
Travis Kelce who did not score a TD but led the team with 6 receptions for 60
yards. Close game but the Jets played well to lose 23-30 to join the fans who
lost monetarily buying tickets online which were up 10-35% due to news she
would attend the game.
On the California Senatorial
front, Newsom to fill the vacancy created by the death of Diane Feinstein, has
appointed Laphonza Butler, a special adviser to Kamala Harris and President of
Emily’s List and the first black female in the Senate and the first openly
LBGT+ Senator to represent California. Newsom praised her as a strong fighter
for women’s and girls’ rights but doubtful that description extends to keeping
male transgenders identifying as women from competing in sports against women.
On the college football
sportsmanship front or rather the lack thereof, Louisiana Tech linebacker
Brevin Randle stomped on the neck of a prone UTEP offensive lineman Steve
Hubbard in a play that a penalty was not called but caught on camera to quickly
go viral causing Louisiana to suspend him indefinitely.
On the middle school suspected
transgender front, in the town of Tualatin, Oregon at Hazelbrook Middle School,
a large suspected transgender was filmed brutally attacked a smaller girl and
worse another video of the same person beating on another girl and a girl who
tried to stop her. Police have arrested the attacker and referred the matter to
the Washington County Juvenile Department. Citing federal the school will not
affirm or deny whether the attacker was a transgender but parents are
rightfully outraged.
On the anti-woke front, Ultra
Right Beer has just released its collectors’ item beer with the mug shot of
Trump on it and sales at $25 a sixpack have gone through the roof while Bud
Light sales remain in the toilet. Not
sure how drinkable the beer is but the cans a pretty cool.
On Red Representatives like herding cats front,
Matt Gaetz who is one of the Freedom Caucus Members who came close with his histrionics
to shutting down the government is under investigation by the House Ethics
Committee which if it finds him guilty on any of the allegations raised can
expect a motion to expel him from the House which requires a 2/3rd vote
which would not upset the slim Red majority as Red Governor De Santis would
appoint a Republican to serve the remainder of his term.

Noted Holidays: International
Blessing of the Fishing Fleet Day celebrated on the first Sunday in October in
Southern European fishing communities for centuries to hope for a good fishing
season and to pray for the safety of fisherman at sea. As a former salmon
seiner for six summers in Alaska, given the treacherous weather and tides in
the state I would hope it is observed in the fishing villages found throughout
the state.
Word of the Day: The word
of the day as we end the word of the day starting with “a” to move to words
starting with “b” “baccivorous” which means eating berries
which is a great breakfast to start your day with cereals underneath
blueberries, blackberries, strawberries or raspberries which are also flavorful
frozen.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1975
was “I’m Sorry” by John Denver on a run of 1 week to share number 1
status with 34 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 18 acts achieved
number one status for the first time. Here is a recording of John Denver performing “I’m Sorry”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHcYFxU4fMo

Quote on the Mandalay Bay Shooting in Las
Vegas by Charles Paddock by Jason Aldean who was the closing performer at the
Route 91 Harvest music festival held there:
“Over the last 24 hrs. I have gone through lots
of emotions. Scared, Anger, Heartache, Compassion and many others. I truly don’t
understand why a person would want to take the life of another. Something has
changed in this country and in this world lately that is scary to see. This world is becoming the kind of place i am
afraid to raise my children in. At the end of the day we aren’t Democrats or
Republicans, Whites or Blacks, Men or Women. We are all humans and we are all
Americans and it’s time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE! That
is the only way we will ever get this Country to be better than it has ever
been, but we have a long way to go and we have to start now.”
