On the
Hamas Israel War front, a hospital was hit by a rocket attack with Hamas
claiming 500 died and quickly blaming Israel while Israel denies the hospital was a target and alleges it was a
Hamas rocket attack that went awry. The fog of war on the truth has descended
but one thing is sure, Hamas is on the deaths in full rejoice, believing it
will amplify the anti-Israeli and pro Hamas voices. Biden who arrives in Israel
will no longer meet with the Palestinian President Abass who cancelled his
participation in Wednesday’s meeting in Amman, Jordan with Biden, Jordan’s King
Abdullah II who also bailed and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi to
discuss the Hamas Israel War because of the alleged Israeli hospital attack.
On the expansion of the effects of
the Hamas Israel War, pro Hamas demonstrations in our NATO “ally” Turkey have
caused Israel to warn its citizens there to “immediately leave” and in Morocco to be very vigilant. Like a stuck record Rep. Tlaib immediately excoriated Israel
for the attack and blamed Biden for not applying pressure on Israel to deescalate
and accept a cease fire.
On the Hamas hostage front,
we were treated to Hamas filming 21 year old French-Israeli Mia Shem who was
pleading for her release and for now is one of the lucky ones as France has
confirmed 21 French citizens were killed and 11 missing in the Hamas invasion. John Kirby, a spokesman
for the White House National Security Council was quick to point out that she appeared
to be under duress while making her plea.
On the House Speaker front, Jim
Jordan’s first voting event went down to defeat as 20 Reds hell bent on
shooting the Reds in the foot voted against him. When do these roaring mice
having made their point unite to vote Jordan in to enable the House to start
doing the business after the Mouse that roared, Matt Gaetz and his seven mice, with
the aid of the Blues ousted McCarthy to shut down the House?
On the Trump legal front,
Trump clearly believes the indictments for his alleged involvement in the events
of January 6 are politically motivated to interfere with his campaign for the presidency,
but Judge Tanya Chutkan, best feared for aggressive sentencing of January 6
defendants who had the misfortune of coming before her, may have crossed the 1st
Amendment line with her partial gag order coupled with sanctions if it is
breached and Trump lawyers are appealing to the Circuit Court of Appeals which
is stocked with Blue appointees.
On the Alec Baldwin Rust shooting
front, the D.A. based on new evidence to be presented to the grand jury may be
refiling the manslaughter charges.
On the AI front, Rapper Michael Pres of the
Fugees who was convicted of a conspiracy to funnel $88 million into Obama’s
campaign had his new attorney’s file a motion for new trial because his lawyer
David Kenner used an untested AI program to create his closing argument which
he alleged failed to highlight the weakness of the prosecution’s case and made
frivolous arguments, further alleging that Kenner had a financial interest in
the program to he could promote it (if the verdict was guilty how does that
successfully promote the product?).
On climate change is the root of
all evils front, the climate change warriors, who rail against wild fires as
evidence of increasing climate change, will be disappointed to learn that through
last month, wild fires in the U.S. burned 2.4 million acres, roughly 4.5
million less than the same period last year and 40% less than the ten year
average.

Noted Holidays: Forgive an Ex Day, created by Mark Anthony on this
day in 2018 to promote civil and harmonious break ups of relationships, especially
when children and family law lawyers are involved to not damage the children
and the parties’ checkbooks—but sadly easier said than done.
Word of the Day: The word
of the day as we proceed with words starting with “b” is “baryecoia” which means deafness or hard of hearing which
as we age or spent a lot of time near the amps at rock concerts more and more
of us seem to have the problem.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1961 was “Hit
the Road Jack” by Ray Charles on a
run of 2 weeks to share number 1 status with 21 other songs achieving
number 1 ranking while 16 acts achieved number one status for the first time.
Here is a recording of Ray Charles performing “Hit the Road Jack”:

October 17 Birthdays: “Breaking
the Color Barrier”: Marshall Bruce Mathers III, better known to his fans as
Eminem, born on this day in 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri to become a well-known
and awarded white rapper and songwriter who, among other things, holds the record
for the most words in a song “Rap God”—1560
which were song by him in 6 minutes (if he ever quits rapping, he would be a star auctioneer). For your enjoyment here is “Rap God” with

Quote
on the Loma Prieta Earthquake by Tim Bajarin, contributor to Forbes on
the tech industry’s contribution to PC and CE industries: “In many ways, the
Loma Prieta quake was a wake-up call for the telecom world. This was one of the
largest national disasters to happen in our modern age and the communications
networks were not up to the task when it came to linking up first responder
agencies and personnel so that they could all talk and work together seamlessly
and collaborate on how to handle this”
