On the Israeli-Hamas War front, the death toll
of Americans being in the wrong place at the wrong time has risen to 14 and
there are an unknown number of American hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
Biden and his team are being briefed on the situation as a second carrier group
is moving into the Eastern Mediterranean and Blue Jewish Representative Josh
Gottheimer of New Jersey blasted Squad members Tlaib and Corie Bush for their
demands that the U.S. cease military aid to the Israelis.
On the Republican
presidential front, Vivek Ramaswamy appears to be aging in presidential
character as he slammed Haley for her rhetoric that the Hamas attack on Israel
was an attack on us and offered a 6 point plan to deal with the crisis:
1. Offer Israel robust intelligence support and stand ready to provide
additional military supplies via both sale and transfer.
2. Immediately confirm an American ambassador to Israel, with the vacant
embassies in Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Oman to be filled in quick succession.
3. End all further nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, including the full
phase-out of Iran’s nuclear program and end Biden’s plan to share nuclear technology with Saudi
Arabia.
4. Fast-track
the deportation of any resident aliens who have served with Hamas or Palestinian
Islamic Jihad, including extradition to Israeli custody.
5. Work
with Israel to identify countries willing to accept peaceful Palestinians who
wish to escape the pressures of Hamas and facilitate their emigration.
6. Warn the UN of consequences if its historical pattern of drawing
false equivalences between Israel and the terrorists who target it.
On the journalism coverage
of the war, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is warning journalists not to
use the term “terrorist” in describing Hamas combatants as that term is opinion
not fact (would the term “war criminal” be acceptable to describe the slaughter
by Hamas “terrorists” of Jewish citizens, including the beheading of babies).
On Biden’s war on fossil fuels front, 8 Red legislators have written a letter to the
Federal Energy Commission demanding the slow walking permitting a natural gas
pipeline come to an end as coal powered electrical power plants are still a
significant emitter of carbon (25% in Oregon e.g.).
On the lack of civility front, former CIA
director Michael Hayden is ranting the Senator Tuberville is not fit to be a
member of the human race which inane outburst prompted a response from the senator
to the Capitol Police to complain of threats by Hayden to assassinate him (time
for both of these “gentlemen” to take a deep breath and chill out).
On the “take me out to the voting booth”
front, former Dodger and Padres star has announced his intent to run for the
seat now held by Laphonza Butler who was appointed to fill the vacancy created
by Senator Feinstein’s death. In this very Blue state Garvey at 74 will be
facing the equivalence of 100+ m.p.h. fastball low and on the inside corner but
Reds wish him well.
On the political crime front, Red Rep
George Santos, already under a 13 count criminal indictment has just be hit
with a superseding additional 10 counts of criminal conduct indictment.

Noted
Holidays: World Day Against the Death Penalty created by the World
Coalition Against the Death Penalty in 2003 and observed on this day since then
and supported by many NGO’s, governments and Amnesty International due to the
costs of keeping a person on death row for years as the execution dates are
extended, the finality of executing a person wrongfully convicted due to errors
in the proceedings or the skill or lack thereof of counsel, the fact that is
not the deterrent to crime it needs to be, racial applications of the penalty
and the alternative of life without possibility of parole.
Word of the Day: The word
of the day as we end the word of the day starting with “a” to move to words
starting with “b” “bambosh” which means deceptive nonsense which political
opponents are too quick to hurl against each other.

errors/Over 4000 military deaths and saddled us with much more debt and created
thousands of jihadis waging against us terror.

serve/But all were paroled early to escape the longer time in prison they
deserved.
5. On this day in 1964
our Earth became a smaller place/The opening ceremonies of the Tokyo Summer
Olympics were broadcast live via satellites in space/No longer would sports

inconvenient time zones.
Quotes on Iraqi Freedom launched based on false information of
the existence of WMD’s.
Amir Moussa, secretary-general of the Arab League on Sept. 5, 2002:
"We will continue to work to avoid a military confrontation or a military
action because we believe that it will open the gates of hell in the Middle
East."
Saddam
Hussein in a
message to the U.N. General Assembly on Sept. 19, 2002: "I hereby declare
before you that Iraq is clear of all nuclear, chemical and biological
weapons."
Colin Powell, Secretary of State on Feb. 5, 2003 describing to the
U.N. Security Council evidence the U.S. had on the existence of WMD’s: “My
colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid
sources. These are not assertions. What we’re giving you are facts and
conclusions based on solid intelligence.”
Lawrence
Silberman, co-chairman.
Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States on March 31,
2005: "The intelligence community was absolutely uniform and uniformly
wrong about the existence of weapons of mass destruction (in Iraq)."
President George W. Bush on Dec. 1, 2008: "The biggest
regret of all the presidency has to have been the intelligence failure in Iraq.
A lot of people put their reputations on the line and said the weapons of mass
destruction is a reason to remove Saddam Hussein.”
