HRC Slams Ceasefire Supporters Who Must Not Know Hamas--Kudos To Her

#IsraelHamasWar I have many times criticized HRC
But her comment on Hamas ceasefire was one I was very pleased to see
She pointed out people ranting for ceasefire do not know Hamas' sworn proclivities
To kill every Jew as Israel is pushed into the sea
Ceasefire would not result in Gazans moved out of harm's way
Only to allow Hamas to restock and refortify for more Israelis to slay
And if the ceasefire would allow more humanitarian aid to come in
Take this bet to the bank--a good portion of the aid will end up in Hamas storage bins
A ceasefire will only prolong the war causing more Gazan deaths to rise
A futile attempt to postpone their rightfully deserved demise
ISIS like barbarians who burned alive victims and babes beheaded
When they are eradicated there will be not a single tear shed
Kudos on this one to HRC
Reminiscent of moderates in the Blues we used to see

On Pro-Palestinian outrage over the Hamas Israel War front, professors at the University of California Ethnic Studies Council have demanded the University stop using the term “terrorist” to describe Hamas because it makes Palestinian students and members of the community feel unsafe (wonder how the Israelis feel when they hear the sirens and are running for their lives to the nearest shelter). After outrage among Reds over the rise of antisemitism on college campuses, the DOJ and DHS has begun hosting calls with campus and local law enforcement agencies across the nation and the Secretary of Education and Domestic Policy Adviser Neera Tandem will hold a roundtable with Jewish students at a yet to be named university.
On the Hamas Israel War, Israel has entered its second stage of its ground invasion moving in deeper into Gaza targeting anti-tank and rocket launch sites and has killed on Sunday Jamil Baba, the commander of the naval force in the central camps; Muhammad Safadi, the commander of the anti-tank formation in the Tafah battalion; Muwaman Hegazi, A prominent operative of the anti-tank system in the Tafah battalion, and Muhammad Awadallah, who was a senior in the office of the Hamas production headquarters. A female Israeli soldier taken hostage on October 7 has been liberated by the IDF. 23 year old German-Israeli Shanin Louk last seen alive unconscious in her underware in the back of a truck was not so lucky as the IDF have recovered her head severed by Hamas.
On the Hamas Israel War propaganda front, Harvard University, one of the many schools hit with antisemitic protests over Israel’s response to the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks, has announced the formation of an antisemitism council of faculty, staff, alumni, and religious leaders and hopefully some students  to combat the antisemitism on its campus as the president claimed that for far too long Harvard had ignored antisemitism as she intoned “No More!” 43 year old John Anthony Miller of Las Vegas has been arrested for threatening Jewish Nevada Senator Jackie Rosen with murder, kidnapping and other violence over alleged Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
On the potential for a ceasefire, Netanyahu has flatly refused stating “this is a time for war” even as civilian casualties continue to rise to some 7,000 as reported by Hamas despite the IDF’s best efforts to avoid them. Hamas should bear the blame for the deaths of Gazans given where they place their rockets and anti-tank missiles.
On the Senator Menendez bribery corruption front, he and his wife will be tried in a court of  law with his and her fate to be decided by a jury, but in the court of public opinion the verdict is already in with 78% of Democrats and 79% of Republicans wanting him to resign. The percentages probably would have been higher if the 20% of voters who were not familiar with the case were reduced.
On the illegal alien immigration front, Texas filed suit against DHS of raising a section of the razor wire on the Eagle Pass border to allow 300 illegals to enter the U.S. and obtained a TRO from Judge Alia Moses, of the U.S. Western District Court of Texas preventing the DHS from “disassembling, degrading, tampering" miles of razor wire running along the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass.
On the climate change front, the bloom may be off the rose for EV’s as automakers are finally waking up to the fact that consumers do not want to be shackled to the lack of charging stations and the time taken to charge as Ford’s EV unit posted a $1.33 billion EBIT loss last quarter up from $1.14 billion the previous quarter. It is now scaling back on its Mustang Mach E and reducing by $12 billion its investment in the EV sector. Until charging stations are as ubiquitous as gas station, the range on a battery is comparable to a hybrid and the time taken to recharge is equivalent of fueling a hybrid, EV’s are looking for and more like a déjà vu of the Edsel (time to view hybrids as the bridge to carbon free emissions goal as my Hybrid Optima gets around 38-40 mpg tank to tank).
On the potential crime front operators opened Saturday morning the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park to find a dead 20 year old inside the women’s bathroom clad in body armory with a AR-15, a semi-automatic handgun, and explosives and a note on the mirror “I am not a killer I just want to get into caves.” Police are investigating the death as a possible suicide and if it was going to be a death by cop suicide a lot of park goers would have been shot before police arrived to fulfil the man’s death wish.
On the fast food all in the name front, MacDonald’s has revealed that its Crispy Chicken Sandwich which has been rebranded as the McCrispy and has become a $1 billion sales item.
On the labor front, the UAW has come to terms with GM, the last auto maker to have not settled, so assuming the UAW members vote to ratify the auto strike is over but trouble on the retail pharmacy front as 2000 Walgreen’s and CVS workers joined by some Rite Aid workers are walking out to protest working conditions and pay.

Noted Holidays: Mischief Night observed by teens and children on the eve of Halloween to go on massive amounts of mischief like ringing doorbells then disappearing into the night as the owner comes to the door or TPing the house or shrubs and trees and hopefully not cause damage.
Word of the Day: The word of the day as we continue with words starting with “b” is  “bellicism” which means an inclination to violence which is a trait possessed by too many jihadists like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1949 was “That Lucky Old Sun” by Frankie Laine with Judd Conlon’s Rhythmaires, Harry Geller and His Orchestra and Carl Fischer  on a  run of 8 weeks to share number 1 status with 8  other songs achieving number 1 ranking. Here is a recording with lyrics of Frankie Laine with Judd Conlon’s Rhythmaires, Harry Geller and His Orchestra and Carl Fischer performing “That Lucky Old Sun”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3uD9gH18qw
October 30 Birthdays: “Like Daughter Like Father” Celebrating the birthday of Ivana Marie Trump better known as “Ivanka” born on this day in 1981 in New York City to become an executive of the Trump Organization and a successful entrepreneur in fashion and jewelry and with her conversion so she could marry Jared Kushner the first Jewish member of a First Family. If Trump wins the nomination of the Republicans to run in the 2024 election look for her to play a prominent role in his campaign.

October 29, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On Pro-Palestinian outrage over the Hamas Israel War front in the city of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia after a flight from Tel-Aviv landed hundreds of pro-Palestinian supporters stormed the airport and flooded out into the tarmac looking for Jewish passengers, closing the airport. Not sure whether any Jewish passengers were killed, captured or beaten but this largely Muslim nation which has been significantly radicalized by Putin’s military actions in Chechnya has now 83,000 terrified Jewish residents.
On the Hamas Israel War political front, Squad member Pramila Jayapal has warned President Biden that his support of Israel’s right to defend itself by trying to exterminate Hamas will cost him the Muslim vote in 2024. Across the nation Pro-Palestinian protests continue to occur, the largest being in NYC where some 7,000 marched to shut down the Brooklyn Bridge. De Santis is defending his efforts to ban pro-Hamas groups from Florida’s campuses  and Reds are in a full court press to force the Biden Administration to end the ability of pro-Hamas supporters to enter the U.S.
On the Hamas Israel War, Israel has entered its second stage of its ground invasion while conditions on the ground for Gazans deteriorate causing a mob of thousands to break into a UN distribution facility to take large quantities of “necessities of survival”. The number of confirmed hostages has risen to 239 and telephone and internet service is slowly being restored.
On the Hamas Israel War humanitarian crisis front, the United Nation’s General Assembly has overwhelmingly voted for a ceasefire to enable humanitarian supplies, such as food, water, medicine, and fuel which the Israelis know will be used  to power the generators needed to make the tunnels livable but its failure to condemn Hamas for its brutal attack on Israeli citizens is generating a lot of condemnation and calls for the resignation of UN Secretary-General  António Guterres.
On the weather front Hurricane Otis which was forecast to make landfall as a CAT1 hurricane duped the forecasters when it quickly became a CAT5 when it made landfall near Acapulco on October 25 causing devastation and 43 deaths confirmed today.
There is a saying that “white men cannot jump” that has just been buttressed with an addendum the “middle aged white governors have no business trying to play basketball with kids” as Gavin Newsom on his “Why am I here trip to China” is caught on camera running over a small child on a court in a pickup game during his trip to China.

Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1950 was “Good Night Irene” by the Weavers  on a  run of 11 weeks to share number 1 status with 11  other songs achieving number 1 ranking.                October 29 Birthdays: “Beware What You Wish For” Observing the birthday on this day of the former Chancellor of Germany born on this day in 1879 in Werl, Prussia, German Empire who after being removed by Von Hindenburg despite his successful negotiation of the ending of reparations in 1934 but eager to return to the government convinced Von Hindenburg to appoint Hitler as Chancellor and him as Vice Chancellor in the mistaken belief he could control Hitler. He left the government after the Night of the Long Knives that proved he was wrong but managed to serve in the Foreign Office as Ambassador to Austria and then to Turkey. Acquitted for War Crimes in the Nuremburg Trials he was later convicted by Germany’s Denazification Court and sentenced to 8 years hard labor but released on appeal to die on May 2, 1969 at age 89.

Quotes on 1929 Stock Market Crash by John Kenneth Galbraith in his book 1929:The Great Crash: Moreover, regulatory bodies, like the people who comprise them, have a marked life cycle. In youth they are vigorous, aggressive, evangelistic, and even intolerant. Later they mellow, and in old age—after a matter of ten or fifteen years—they become, with some exceptions, either an arm of the industry they are regulating or senile.”

On the crime front in Lewiston, Maine Robert Card’s vehicle and his car phone have been recovered along with a note that indicated that he was not coming back; hard to not believe this not another person who needed  mental health treatment  that might have save his life and the 18 others killed by him.
On the Hamas Israel War front, another day of massive increases in tank artillery bombardment and air strikes likewise increasing as the IDF appears to be conducting  another incursion into Gaza as the internet and cell towers in Gaza have been shut down making it very difficult for Hamas to communicate with its units.

On the Hamas Israel War humanitarian crisis front, the United Nation’s General Assembly has overwhelmingly voted for a ceasefire to enable humanitarian supplies, such as food, water, medicine, and fuel which the Israelis know will be used  to power the generators needed to make the tunnels livable.              On the labor strike front, the UAW has entered into a tentative agreement with Stellantis, the parent of Chrysler, similar to the one reached with Ford, leaving General Motors with its almost $29 million 2022 compensation, Mary Bara, to withstand the wrath of the UAW wanting its workers to be paid more and receive more benefits.
On the entertainment front, 54 year old Canadian-American actor Matthew Perry, who struggled for years with prescription drug addiction and an alcoholism, in and out of rehabs, hospitalizations and thousands of AA meetings was found dead in his hot tub with cause of death other than no signs of foul play to be determined.

On the illegal alien invasion front, Texas has finally had enough as bills will soon be passed to grant Texas authorities the right to arrest and deport illegals, something that the federal government has refused to do under Biden. Do not be surprised if the DOJ and groups like the ACLU oblivious to the damage being done to our cities and towns by the tidal wave of illegal immigration coupled with the deadly consequences of deadly illegal drugs coming across our borders file actions to enjoin the Texas’ proposed acts(The poll numbers in New York indicating the growing concern over illegal aliens and dissatisfaction over its handling by public officials should result in a real Blue wave even if weakened by Trump being on the ballot).

On the crime front in Lewiston, Maine the good news on the 2 mass shootings by now suspect no longer a person of interest Robert Card is that the number of dead first reported at 22 is now confirmed to be 18 and the wounded lowered from 30 to 13, both still heinous numbers but the bad news is that Card, who must be assumed to be armed and dangerous is on the loose with a massive manhunt being undertaken. President Biden and the Governor of Maine have responded by ordering flags flown at half-staff and Biden has made another predictable passionate plea to ban assault rifles and high capacity magazines. Fortunately he was caught on surveillance camera highly recognizable shooting his rifle and police have released his photo with a plea for tips as to his whereabouts.
On the Hamas Israel War funding front, Red Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have defied Biden’s plan to conflate aid to Ukraine with aid to Israel by introducing the Israel Supplemental Appropriations Act to provide $14.3 billion of military aid to Israel, including $200 million to protect U.S. Embassies.
On the Hamas Israel War humanitarian crisis front, Gaza residents are in a world of hurt as food, water, medicine and fuel are almost gone while the IDF released photos of Hamas fuel tanks that are being withheld from the civilian population to create lighting and ventilation for the some 190 miles of tunnels that Hamas terrorists seek safety in and then emerge to launch rockets or seek to enter Israel. Not enabling Hamas to power up their tunnel system to force them always out in the open is the military reason why fuel trucks have been barred from entering Gaza.
On the Hamas Israel War voting front Michigan Governor Whitmer who attended a pro-Israel rally but not a pro-Palestinian rally the next day has received warnings that the Palestinian and Arab community may not be voting for her (Any defection from the Blues should also be matched by defection by Jews from the Blues due to that rants of the Squad.
On the criminal wrist tap front, Blue Rep Jamaal Bowman who pulled a fire alarm supposedly to prevent a vote on a stop gap funding measure to keep the House from voting and was charged with a misdemeanor which could have resulted in 6 months in jail received a wrist tap sentence for his guilty plea of a $1000 fine and a requirement to write a letter of apology to U.S. Capitol Police.
On the Hamas Israel War propaganda front when I reported yesterday the House voting 422-10 with 6 Blues voting “present” I could not find party affiliations of those who voted no but suspected Blues. 6 “Squad” members—AOC, Omar, Tlaib, Lee, Bowman and Bush voted no and 2 “Squad” members—Cesar and Presley voted present. Anyone who is so biased that he or she cannot condemn the brutal murder of infants and babies has no business to be in the House of Representatives and should be censured although far better to be voted out.

Noted Holidays: National BSA/AML Day was created by Bankers Toolbox in 2018 and is celebrated on this day, the anniversary of the Patriot Act signed into law on this day in 2001 to confront money laundering which enables criminal enterprises like cartels to finance their illegal activities and use the proceeds to engage in legitimate businesses or purchase properties.
Word of the Day: The word of the day as we continue with words starting with “b” is  “bechic” which means something that relieves a cough like warm lemon juice with honey or cough drops.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1953 was “St. George and the Dragonet” by Stan Freberg  on a  run of 4 weeks to share number 1 status with 8  other songs achieving number 1 ranking. Here is a recording of  Stan Freberg performing “St. George and the Dragonet”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUdFLyNCeI4 Not a song but a parody on Dragnet.
October 26 Birthdays: “The Bleach Bit Queen”: Celebrating or bemoaning depending on your political affiliation the birth on this day in 1947 in Park Ridge, Illinois to graduate from Yale Law School where she met her husband Bill Clinton to as a young lawyer for the Senate Subcommittee investigating Richard Nixon where she must have learned the folly of creating a record of obstruction of justice and then not destroying it when a crime occurred which served her well during her 2016 run for President of the United States to have her private server subject to Bleach Bit 30,000 “personal emails” which coupled with her unlikability probably cost her the election.

                2.      On this day in 1979 South Korean President Park Chung Hee, after taking over the government in a military coup in 1961 and elected as President in 1963/To result in economic growth known as the “Miracle of the Han River/To for South Korea rapid increases in wealth and the stand of living deliver/but with growing dictatorial powers/Causing South Koreans from the early morning knock at the door cower/was assassinated by Kim Jae-gyu, the South Korean CIA head/Another example that fear of oppression trumps monetarily in life getting ahead.
                3.      On day in 1958 the Earth became a smaller place/When Pan Am’s first 707 flight from NYC to Paris  signaled the beginning of jet planes to piston ones replace/In business where time is money and for vacations where time in the air reduces the vacation days/To travel long distances by flying jets were the only way.
                4.      On this day during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 in the towns of Mosonmagyaróvár and Esztergom civilians were killed by the Hungarian secret police/While rebels held strongholds in Budapest and revolt against Soviet rule was on the increase/But Molotov Cocktails and few rifles against tanks and the well-armed Soviets had little chance/As the Soviets would not allow in Eastern Europe democratic rule to advance/In 12 short days it was over and 250,000 Hungarians to the West fled/Leaving behind 13,000 Hungarians wounded and some 6,000 dead.
               5.      On this day in 1955 after all Allied troops had Left Austria’s lands/And to avoid military alliances that would escalate military conflicts quickly out of hand/ The Declaration of Neutrality signed to military alliances to be signed never/A word in diplomacy that seems absurd but for 68 years to a military ally Austria has not been tethered.
Elvis Presley’s song “(There’ll Be) Peace in the Valley (For Me  dedicated to the Hungarian Revolution which was quickly banned by the Soviets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TUFoHrqI0Q

October 25, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

On the crime front, police are in a massive manhunt for 40 year old Robert Card, a firearms instructor who has been caught on camera shooting a semi-automatic rifle to become a person of interest in the killing of 22 and the wounding of 30 at two locations in Lewiston, Maine—Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation. 22 people killed in one night when the total dead in all of Maine stood at 29.
On the Keystone Kops Quest for Speaker front, Reds on their a 4th Speaker Candidate have sent Mike Johnson to be voted on by the full House where he was voted in by a majority of the House to become Speaker. Look for Trump to claim that his support for Johnson to be the key for his win. The leaders of the Republican Party must amend the rules to require a higher number of members who want to remove the Speaker and consider measures to reduce the Speaker’s power so the position becomes not so valuable that a small minority can hobble the election process.
On the Hamas Israel Ground War front, the IDF with tanks and infantry entered Northern Gaza in force to attack terrorist cells, anti-tank missiles launch sites and infrastructure to then returned to Israel.
On the Hamas Israel War front U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq have been attacked by drone and rocket attacks, 14 times since October 8, 11 in Syria and 3 in Iraq that have inured 20 raising the question of whether anyone from Iran was listening to Secretary of State Blinken’s stern warning of American response if our troops were attacked. Senator Joni Ernst, given Iran’s support of Hamas and Hezbollah is outraged the State Department has given a visa to Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to attend a United Nations session.
On the Hamas Israel War Propaganda front, American colleges and universities are taking on the déjà vu appearance of the Vietnam War with praise for the Palestinians and  protests to end the war with a ceasefire and for Israel to stop the “genocide” of the Palestinians. The MSM is complicit in falsely blaming Israel for the Gaza hospital bombing. The Queen of Jordan on CNN has weighed in on what she calls the double standard of it being reprehensible for Hamas to kill Israeli civilians on the ground but not so when they are killed from the air whether targeted or not.
On the illegal alien migration front the chicken of the failure to secure the border are coming home to roost as in a very Blue state New York, as a Sienna poll has revealed that 64% of New Yorkers disapprove of Biden’s handling of the crisis, including a whopping 48% of Blues; 84% of voters are concerned illegal migration is a serious problem while 57% agree that it is a very serious problem. Mayor Adams is not faring much better with a 46% disapproval and just a 30% approval rate.
On the Hamas Israel Condemnation front, China and Russia voted against a UN Security Council Resolution to condemn Hamas for its October 7th attack on Israel while in the House’s its first act after electing a Speaker was to condemn Hamas 422-10 with 6 Blues voting “present.” Have not been able to determine who voted “no”, but a safe bet would be all ten democrats.
On the Malibu “Dead Man’s Curve front, Fraser Bohm, age 22 who has been arrested for vehicular homicide and reckless driving pled not guilty to killing the 4 Pepperdine sorority sisters while allegedly texting and traveling at 104 miles per hour and had his bail set at $4 million subject to further review hearing.
On the transgender front, the Japanese superior  court, struck down a law requiring  a person wanting to change a person’s sexual identity on that person’s birth certificate must first remove that person’s sex organs.

Noted Holidays: National Greasy Foods Day is celebrated today but clueless who created it or when first celebrated only with the plethora of fast food places we have it’s pretty easy to load up on fat today to cause dieticians’ blood pressure to rise and to have the Jenny Craig’s and Nutrisystem’s  jump for joy for more overweight and obese customers.
Word of the Day: The word of the day as we continue with words starting with “b” is  “beatster” which means a repairer of fishnet who is a good person to be on the crew of a seiner or gillnetter when fishing.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1954 was “Hey There” by Rosemary Clooney with Buddy Cole and his Orchestra  on a  run of 5 weeks to share number 1 status with 9  other songs achieving number 1 ranking. Here is a recording of  Rosemary Clooney with Buddy Cole and his Orchestra performing “Hey There”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1dNxDlzfGA
October 25 Birthdays: “Queen of Camp”: Celebrating the birth on this day in 1984 in Santa Barbara of Kathyrn Hudson better known to her millions of fans as Katy Perry who became a very successful songwriter and singer with 143 million records sold.
October 25 Historical Events in Rhyme
                1.      On this day in 2001 Microsoft released Windows XP/ One of the most successful operating systems the world would see/Sadly Microsoft chose to violate the If it is not broken don’t try to fix it rule/And introduced Vista which was criticized as a second rate tool.
                2.      On this day in 1999 a Lear Jet with 6 aboard/An oxygen malfunction was ignored/Soon all 6 including Payne Stewart of the PGA/Were dead as the plane on autopilot continued on its way/A flying coffin that would crash as fuel ran out later that day.
                3.      On this day in 1983 2 days after the Marine Barracks in Beirut was destroyed by a truck bomber who committed suicide/The U.S. and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States invaded Grenada to prevent a growing Cuban and Soviet military presence we could not abide/Also a pretext of 600 medical students that Reagan feared/Like the American hostages from the Tehran Embassy on TV would soon appear/In four days it was over with few lives lost/But a UN resolution condemning us for the invasion was the cost/Memorialized in part in Heartbreak Ridge, a Clint Eastwood flick/Leaving a lasting image that in the Caribbean the U.S. carried and would use a big stick.
               4.      On this day in 1962 at the UN Security Council after the Soviets on the existence of their nuclear missiles in Cuba denied/Adlai Stevenson produced for the world to see on TV that the Soviets had clearly lied/As the U.S. Navy imposed a blockade of any Soviet cargo ships to Cuba en route/The world held its breath that the U.S. Navy would have to shoot/Faced with a nuclear war and an agreement of the U.S. to silently remove its Jupiter midrange missiles in Turkey that could Russia attack/The Soviets blinked, started to remove their Cuban missile sites and turned their ships back.
               5.      On this day in 1949 after having forced the Nationalist Chinese to the Island of Taiwan retreat/The PLA tried to invade Quemoy island just off China’s coast that had to be occupied before they could on Taiwan the Chinese Nationalist armies defeat; The island was defended with veteran troops backed by tanks and air/The element of surprise was lost before the beach the PLA could get there/Too many fishing vessels landing craft were beached or destroyed/So the second wave of troops waiting to land could not be deployed/The first wave of 9,086 could not be reinforced or with ammunition and rations resupplied/Stopped cold by air, artillery, tanks and naval craft their advance into the island was denied/Had no choice but for the 5,175 who survived to surrender while 3,873 died.
Quote on the Invasion of Grenada by Senator Tom Cotton: “The Grenada operation was the first successful military rollback of communism during the Cold War. We had eliminated a deadly threat on our doorstep. And we had liberated a grateful people, who enjoy freedom and democracy to this day.
Reagan worked to stabilize the island and later traveled there in 1986. Tens of thousands of Grenadians lined the streets and welcomed Reagan as a liberator. Grenada’s prime minister described Reagan as “our own national hero” and “our rescuer after God.” Reagan passed banner after banner that read “God Bless America” and later wrote that “I probably never felt better during my presidency than I did that day.” What Reagan felt that day was the joy of American success, made possible by American strength and confidence.
