Irma La Douce Ou Irma L'Amere?

Harvey devastated the Texas and Cajun coast
Rainfall amounts that only a 1000 yr. flood could boast
Damage amounts that could reach 200 billion dollars
Refineries off line with gas prices rising bringing motorists’ hollers
In the battle of the hurricane sexes a female is coming on scene
A Cat 3 building to a possible 5 bearing on Puerto Rico in a fast moving stream
Puerto Rico has but 15 million in its disaster relief coffers
In bankruptcy court not sure to the victims what help it can offer
No Cajun Navy with winds and storm surge that will make Harvey’s like a placid lake
Katrina and Camille like winds with potentially many lives for Irma to take
Worse, the storm tract models are never precise and hard to predict
If after hitting Puerto Rico she veers across Florida into the Gulf major damage to inflict
We may be at the top of the food chain and rearrangers of our habitat
But compared to Mother Nature’s fury we are more like a bunch of gnats
Pray that Irma as La Douce this hurricane remains
As opposed to Irma L’Amere bringing killing waves, winds and rains
