Senior Discount Night at Norm's

Senior Discount Night at Norm’s
There’s need it now, or ASAP or need it yesterday
But never have I seen such speed and hustle on display
Not even on a track for humans, cars, or horses
Have I seen such activity of movement in a straight line or zig zag courses
A flurry of movement from tables A to Z
With stops at all points in between no observer could disagree
Who is this icon of darting speed to the left and to the right?
From the afternoon to the late hours of senior discount night
It’s not a bird, not a drone, not a speeding bullet or a plane
Should be lotto tickets to guess when this speed demon pulls up lame
None other than a Norm’s waitress bringing food to her tables on senior discount night
Speedy service is the norm so the seniors do not have to wait and patrons do not have to be bothered by an ambulance’s flashing lights
Never know when the thief of the night might be attracted by economies of scale
Drawn by a concentration of seniors whose hearts or blood vessels while waiting for service may without warning fail.
