December 4, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Wildlife Conservation Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 4, 2016 Two related news items of interest; first Palin who has been floated as a potential VA secretary (disaster when someone like Romney could drain and pave the VA swamp) in one can only be described as stupid attacked the Carrier deal as cronyism capital and the second relates to the resignations of the director of nursing and three other medical professionals from a VA facility in Oklahoma after a patient there was found to have his wound teeming with maggots; major fire raging in Cambridge, MA; finally after 6 years of stonewalling the UN’s General Secretary has issued a very tepid apology to Haiti for the cholera epidemic that has plagued that nation for years with mentioning that the epidemic was brought to the island by UN Peacekeepers in the first place; Castro’s funeral will be held today and the U.S. will not be sending a delegation; speculation mounts as to whether President Obama will be pardoning Beau Bergdahl.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances,  a music link to Joni James, factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote from an anonymous source, while looking forward to munching on some cookies either homemade or from Kelli’s Best, blessed with a positive attitude and secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. Reflections on poaching on Wildlife Conservation Day “No one needs an elephant tusk more than an elephant and no one needs a rhino horn more than a rhino—do not be part of the slaughter by buying ivory.” Anon Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs.
