Florida in recent years has been the recipient of a Red Wave
Thousands of new residents fleeing high tax states like California
and New York to their wallets emptied by taxes try to save
But now the state is facing an advancing tidal Blue Wave
Not the two legged type pulling U-Hauls or followed by Vans
trying to their wealth save
But ocean waters pushed by Hurricane Helene’s growing in
intensity winds that will strike near Tampa tonight
A storm surge of 20 feet high raging waters that will flood
all streets and structures in sight
Residents have been evacuating by the thousands as the
Hurricane Helene nears
Anyone remaining behind the chances of surviving the surge
will have disappeared
Winds and torrential rain will not dissipate until Helene
reaches Atlanta in the Peach Tree State
Billions of dollars of devastation in Helene’s path the residents
fearfully await
When they are allowed to return, doubtful many still
standing undamaged homes and structures they will find
Florida may be the Sunshine State but during the hurricane season humans and
animals to their sorrow learn that Mother Nature is not very kind!
