Winning Ukrainian Fencer at World Fencing Championships Refused to Shake the Hand of the Russian Fencer She Beat and Was Disqualified

 

The world of sports has been invaded by politics for many years
Even in the sport of fencing political correctness has appeared
The International Fencing Federation (FIE) that governs the sport
Requires that after a match sportsmanlike behavior the contestants must comport
On Thursday in Milan at the World Fencing Championships
Ukraine's Olga Kharlan who won refused to the hand of Russia’s Anna Smirnova grip
Instead using the fencer’s salute with her blade that was instead of handshakes during the pandemic used
Since no handshake the FIE disqualified Kharlan causing her a chance for a Fencing World Championship lose
Russia invaded Ukraine, causing thousands of civilian deaths with the world claiming Putin  and Russian troops are guilty of war crimes
It is ludicrous to expect Kharlan to shake hands during an unprovoked wartime
Russia has become a rogue nation and its athletes should be from the sporting communities expelled
For the criminal activity of killing civilians and with now attacking Ukraine grain storage facilities the world needs to prevent starvation belongs in Hell
