What ever reductions we make in our carbon emissions are
erased by China’s and India’s increased use of coal
Unless China and India are bound with that same reductions
Earth will not meet its climate change goals
On climate change we are facing the Perfect Storms
One self-inflicted and the other by China trying to rearrange
the global power norms
With fracking allowing us to produce copious quantities of natural gas
Which is a low carbon emitting fuel compared to coal whose carbon emissions by
huge numbers surpass
Biden has declared a war on fossil fuels while no new nuke
plants have been coming on line
Despite best efforts not enough wind, solar, geothermal and
tidal additions taking too much time
Our electrical grid each summer skirts closer to the edge of
blackouts and brownouts to shut the economy down
While all those new EV’s unable to be charged are stranded in the garage unable
to go to work and school sites around town
Same problem in the winter when the sun doesn’t shine and
the panels are covered with ice and snow
And the wind turbines freeze up so from them no electricity
is generated to the grid flow
China may lack oil but in minerals needed in solar panels
and batteries to propel EV’s it has them in spades
It has announced beginning in August permits will be needed
to ship vital minerals in the export trade
The Chinese realize what Biden cannot understand
Energy is king and without it a nation is stuck pounding
sand
We are putting the cart before the energy horse
We have to be on an energy needed mineral exploration and
development course
End the war on fossil fuels what will be needed for a bridge
to carbon free emissions promised land
Or the bridge will become a pier into an angry ocean the waves
of depression it will not withstand.
