Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 20, 2018 Terrifying tragedy
on a Duck boat on a lake in the Ozarks that capcized during a sudden storm,
killing 17 passengers; the aging Sanders and the young socialist Ocasio-Lopez
appeared on a campaign stage together claiming socialism is the face of the Democratic
Party (Blues should ramp up the film clips of the chaos in Venezuela to show
what that failed ideology brings); the Magic Kingdom has severed ties with
director James Gunn of the Guardians of
the Galaxy and The Avengers after
discovering old tweets on pedaphilia and rape (what a total leftis scumbag); in
a surprise move the leftist 9th Circuit upheld a lower court ruling
calling California’s ban on large magazines to be unconstitutional; New Jersey
one of the high tax states is looking at taxing tap water to raise money to
repair its aging water delivery system; the mantra that Trump is a puppet of
Putin suffered a severe blow when the Pentagon announced it was send $200
million of military aid to Ukraine;in California a ballot iniative is
collecting signatures to rescind the legislation that allows illegals to obtain
drivers licenses; in another example of the ineptness at the VA, a new survey released
that whistleblowers at the VA were more likely than their peers at other
federal agencies to be the subject of retaliatory action (the solution to this
is to allow vets to go to the private sector to receive care and close down VA
facilities); through July 19, 2018, 1556 people mostly of color have been shot
by mostly people of color, of whom 250 have died (when will Chicago get serious
about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns
a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of
color?).
As always,
I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to the Kay
Kyser, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact

Holmes from his diary, secure in the
knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college
graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the
Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price

of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RcJLOl1nPk
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “milquetoast” which means a timid unassertive
person which fortunately our president is not.
5. Crocodile Hunttress celebrating the birth on this day in 1964 of Terri Irwin
widow of Steve Irwin who after his death has continued his wildlife activism
role.
On this day in:
a. 1973 Bruce Lee, noted Chinese martial arts actor, died from a
brain edema possibly caused by use of pain killer medications.
b. 1997 the restored USS
Constitution, the oldest commissioned ship in the U.S. Navy set sail for
the first time in 116 years in Boston Harbor.
c. 2012 James Holmes at a movie theater in Auroa, Colorado shot
and killed 12 patrons and wounded 70 others before arrested by police; he is in
prison serving 12 life sentences without possibility of parole.
d. 2015 the U.S. and Cuba resumed full diplomatic relations
after five decades.
e. 2017 O.J. Simpson was granted parole after serving 9 years of
a 33 year sentence for armed robbery in Las Vegas.
Reflections from
a very disturbed mind: "The mind is actually tricked into believing an
action precedes the event that caused it." James Holmes as entered in his
diary.
