Bad weather
can sink almost any boat
Add that to a
bad design increases the odds a Duck will cease to float
Table Rock Lake
near Branson was hit by a thunderstorm
With winds
at 73 miles per hour almost hurricane norm
The Duck lacks
buoyancy to keep it afloat if in water it is awash
Quickly will
start to list as water from side to side begins to slosh
A boat without
a canopy that capsizes tosses its passengers into the drink
But a Duck
with a canopy that capsizes traps its passengers inside as it sinks
Tossed into
the water with a life jacket on means a chance to survive
Capsizing in
a Duck with a life jacket on up to canopy roof means harder to come out alive
Warnings about
the boats safety seem to have been ignored in the past
Time to
mandate a removal of the canopy so this Duck tragedy will be the last
