But
in the World Cup as host nation they have entered their last page
Like
all soccer games in the World Cup hardly a rout
But
Russia lost to Croatia 4-3 in a penalty shoot out
England
will meet Croatia and Belgium will meet France
To
see who will meet in the championship World Cup dance
Putin
will be a foul mode when he meets with Trump
With
Russia’s soccer dreams tossed into the dump
An
American fan of American football where teams score
The
closest thing to war with drama hard to ignore
What
explains the popularity of soccer as a sport?
Certainly
not the pace or speed or acting for flags or the roar of the fans exhort
Maybe
it is much more simple as it costs so much less for a person to play
No
pads, no helmets, only shorts, jerseys, shoes and maybe shin guards on display
Less
chance of concussions to scramble a player’s brains
Or
knee injuries that wash a career down the drain
Even
third world countries can field teams and advance in World Cup to developed
nations’ dismay
Even
small third world nations can advance in the World Cup’s frey
