Chakka Fattah Indicted For Fraud

Chakka Fattah is the new poster child

Of graft and corruption run wild

And yet another example of why we need limits on the term billets

No matter the reform minded at inception ideals the more they stay greater chance to pivot

A reform-minded Blue at inception

Appropriations committee post and landslide elections

 Now indicted for fraud and siphoning federal funds to repay his campaign debt

To the dismay of the voters who on him had placed the voting bet

A million dollars of campaign debt alleged to have been repaid

From honesty and integrity this former rising star has really strayed

Too much power, too much money from the federal trough to disburse

No wonder Fattah fell under the sway of the corruption curse

In passing one might question Fattah’s mental state

To leave a district for life to run for mayor with far less power there to him await
