Obama Ignores Congress Again

Give Obama a teleprompter and as a speaker he really shines

The pauses, rhetoric, cadence and today even tears the art of the speech he has refined

Moving theater surrounded by parents and family of poor souls in gun violence gunned down

A man who after seven years needs no introduction introduced by the dad of a victim from the village of Sandy Hook in Newtown

A speech with passion whether feigned or not

Calling for gun controls so more victims will not be shot

Details not released but anyone who in a private transaction sells a gun must like a gun dealer perform a background check

A position that Congress has not once, not twice but three times chose to reject

Details not yet released but it looks like anyone who wants to his or her gun give or sell

May have to become licensed as a gun dealer and jump through the hoops of a regulatory hell

Felons and drug dealers on the streets can easily guns obtain

Unless confronted by an armed citizenry when it comes to violence they will not refrain

Gun violence and accidental shootings all of us should deplore

But Obama cannot shred the separation of powers and the 2^nd Amendment and toss the pieces on the floor

When it comes to understanding the Constitution this former scholar has a fatal flaw

A president does not legislate unless he is operating under Stalinistic laws

What he should have done is like Reagan or Clinton gone directly to the voters to put on their representatives pressure

Or tried to work with Congress to have it craft an acceptable gun control measure

Trump when it comes to his take on Obama hit the nail squarely on the head

When it comes to compromising with Congress or the voters he would rather play golf instead
