December 20 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

Stanford is sporting two new black eyes from a one two punch—first its president is being attacked for submitting erroneous data for scientific publications years ago and second coming out with an Index of Harmful words like “American”, “tone deaf”, or “child prostitute” that should not be used. Thousands upon thousands of Argentines crowded the streets of Buenos Aires to cheer their arriving World Cup Champions team, some jumping off a bridge to get on the bus the players were on:

While here no crowds for the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team who made it to but could not advance beyond the quarter finals but at least on the streets a good number of carolers caroling Christmas songs. Hope you enjoy today’s Ridley's Believe It Or Not  and find it worthy to read and if not reply “Unsubscribe”

Quote of the DayAnthony Ng, a legislator often described as Macau's most outspoken advocate of democracy, "Most Chinese people in Macau will welcome the arrival of Chinese troops to our streets," said Ng. "They believe that they will bring security. . . . It is only the marginal people who won't be happy." Only time will tell and if Taiwan is invaded I would not count on China putting forth a democracy like face.
