PAC-12 B-Ball for Stanford is looking a lot
like PAC-12 Football as the Cardinal was decimated in the 1st half,
falling behind by 21 points and although they outscored the Bruins in the 2nd
half and pulled within 8 points in the closing minutes at the end, the curse of
turnovers killed them, and they lost 80-66 to drop to 3-5. As winter nears and
temperatures chill, time to take out of mothball any faux fur garments for
wearing. Please enjoy today’s Ridley's Believe It Or Not. Hope you find them

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not December 2, 2022
National Holiday: The
International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, marks the December 2, 1949 of
the adoption, by the General Assembly, of the United Nations Convention for the
Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the
Prostitution of Others. Unfortunately slavery has evolved into trafficking in
persons, sexual exploitation, the worst forms of child labor, forced marriage,
and the forced recruitment of children for use in armed conflict affecting some
50 million people worldwide.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “abnegate” which means to
renounce or repudiate which is something voters yearn to see when it comes to
the ad hominem attacks hurled by our leaders at those with opposing views.
Number 1 Song of the Day: The number 1
song on this day in 2015 was “Hello” by
Adele on a run of 7 weeks to
share with 8 other songs reaching achieving number 1 status while 10 acts
achieved their first number 1. Here is a
video recording of Adele performing “Hello”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQHsXMglC9A
Famous
Birthdays: Nicholas Charles Dingley better known to his fans as Razzle, born on
this day in 1960 was the English drummer for the Finish glam band Hanoi Rocks
but after a night of partying on December 8, 1984 with fellow band members at
Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil’s house in Redondo Beach the party came to an
end when the beer was exhausted. Ignoring the wise warning to not drink and
drive Vince and Razzle got into Vince’s De Tomaso Pantera to make a run to a
liquor store for replenishments only on their return to crash into another car,
severely injuring its occupants Lisa Hogan and Daniel Smithers and killing instantly Razzle. Neil’s blood
alcohol was .17 and he was charged with vehicular manslaughter and in a real
slap in the wrist after pleading guilty was ordered to pay $2.6 million in
restitution and sentenced to 30 days in
jail and 5 years’ probation but served only 19 days.
