The Griner Family is celebrating her release, the Whelan Family is disappointed that Paul Whelan was not included but took the high road congratulating that family for her release while Paul’s bother David blasted Trump’s condemnation of the swap as “unpatriotic”, pointing out that Trump did nothing to try to obtain his release while he was in office. Army Navy game is happening today with the half time score Army 7, Navy 3 after on a blocked punt, Army recovered it in the end zone and won in the second overtime when Army recovered Navy's fumble on the 1 inch line and on 4th down kicked a 37 yard field goal.           Noted Holiday: Nobel Prize Day, celebrating the awarding of Nobel Prizes on this day since 1901 in the fields of  physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace with a prize for economics officially known as the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economics Sciences in memory of Albert Nobel first awarded in 1969.  In addition to  worldwide acclaim and a gold medal, each winner unless the award is split receives some $900,000 of taxable income unless the prize before received is donated to a 501(c)(3) charity.
          Word of the Day: The word of the day is “acapnia” which means a lack of carbon dioxide which is not necessarily harmful to humans but not good for plants.

          Noted Birthdays: Douglas Clark Kenney, born on this day in 1949, was the co-founder the National Lampoon who died far too early by falling off a 35 foot cliff known as the Hanapepe Lookout on Kauai while looking for a missing friend on August 27, 1980. National Lampoon published a tribute to him which included a phot of the lookout with a marker “Doug Kenney slipped here.”

          1.       1936—In order to marry “Wallis Simpson, the woman he loved,” Edward VII abdicated his throne to George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II and became the Duke of Edinburgh.
          2.       1953—Prime Minister Winston Churchill received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
          3.       1978—Prime Minister of Israel Menachem Began and President of Egypt Anwar Sadat were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
          4.       1995—The Israeli Army pursuant to the Oslo Accords withdrew from the Palestinian town of Nablus on the West Bank.
          5.       2021—A deadly storm of tornadoes strike the Central, Midwestern and Southern sections of the country to kill 81 people, 57 of whom are killed in a single tornado that was on the ground in Kentucky for 164 miles.
