New Year's Eve Thoughts

As the young babe climbs up onto the stage
Holding in his hands a blank page
Father Time is slowly shuffling off into history
We have the ability to change but the future is a mystery
The House has flipped
Will gridlock tighten its grip?
Are we facing two years of legislation?
Or two years of agenda frustrating investigations?
Time will tell as dozens of Blues are to answer the campaign bell
More and more a further to the left agenda trying to sell
Some say 3 dozen will make the Oval Office quest
A silver lining is that Ocasio-Cortez can’t pass the Constitution’s age test
A government shut down drawn out over resistance to the wall?
Unknown answers to be found after dropping the Times Square Ball
Only this should be known and known well
We will in 2019 weather any Mueller or markets bombshell
And if our leaders could somehow the over the top rhetoric quell
The divisiveness and incivility might be facing its death knell
Best wishes to all for a Happy and prosperous New Year
And may the Cardinal at the Sun Bowl in the hearts of Pittsburgh strike fear
